Really Hosts????
I wonder how these show hosts “really feel” about most of this poor quality merchandise they are peddling???? I see stuff on the Q by Lori Goldstein, etc., and actually bit on a few (very few). That stuff is thin, see-thru, and -0 in quality. Does this stuff represent what’s really on the market out there; or are we shoppers hypnotized to think it’s great merchandise? I just don’t understand…

I only buy Prai beauty products. The reason? Cathy Kangis looks natural and, if she did have any ‘work” done, she still looks like a lovely older woman who is aging beautifully. Oh, and none of her products are animal tested. Her prices have gone up, just like everything else. But I refuse to buy any cosmetics sold by the hosts who have had major “work” done. That seems so dishonest, doesn’t it???

Yes, cheap clothing is what is out there in the stores. You’ve heard of “fast food”, right? Well this is called “fast fashion” and it is a terrible thing for the environment and for the people who are paid so low to manufacture this stuff in foreign countries. Some are potentially even forced to work there – and no 40 hour work weeks with nice paid vacation time, either. Then the odor or smell of chemicals in the clothing is just awful!
But let’s also talk about the beauty items. The sales pitch is often just not correct. I just returned another skin cream to HSN due to the overwhelming perfume. Was told it had a light scent, very pleasant. Well that scent was okay but too heavy and lasted on my skin all day. I returned this item and went to my local health food grocery store and got an unscented lotion/cream off their shelf. And it works better than Skinn, Korres, the argon oil stuff, or gold bond. I am delighted. I have to return so many of the beauty products I buy from either HSN or QVC that I decided to simply stop ordering online for anything new to me. It is very discouraging but I also blame myself. I should have known the last one was likely overly perfumed.

Can you please tell what cream/lotion you found at your local store? Thanks 🙂

I have to agree re: Lori Goldstein fashion. They can be cute, but the tops make my legs look at least 4 inches shorter than they are. Even the long legged seem to look disproportionate with long torso and short legs.Maybe her being labeled a “stylist” is what entices customers to order her line – way too pricey for what it is. Marla Wynne I think has the higher quality and more sophisticated line.
