Host shopping
It’s twice now that I have watched Debbie D order items on her cell phone while presenting. She excuses herself with “just a minute, I’m ordering this.” Followed by a silly giggle. It is very annoying and makes me dislike her. Reminds me of rummage sales when everybody is trying to get that one item before it’s gone. She’s a bit overly dramatic and I won’t continue watching her. Sorry.

Used to be that they were not allowed to do that, “shop for the product.” It is a ploy, a way to may you think it is sooooo worth it that even they want it.

I think it is very unprofessional when they do this on air and they use it as a sales tactic. There is no reason for a host to have to order something during a show. They have time to order their items prior to the show airing. You can pull up what items will be sold 24 hours before the shows air on HSN.Com. I shop like this a lot. I’ll pull up what’s airing the next day and buy before the show airs.

Oops, I just did that! 2 Marla Wynne sweaters in one package, each in its original shipping bag — mainly because one didn’t come with a shipping label. Hope I get credit. My mailman thinks my hobby is ordering and returning, and you know, I think he’s right. It’s getting way out of hand the number of returns I have. SMH

well, supposedly going green is the reason for no longer providing labels. Personally I believe it is to make returning items more difficult. I do not have a printer, so I pretty much dont order, as only way then is to phone & ask a label be mailed. Certainly hope u get credit for item. Pehaps phone & explain? Didnt help me, tho.

I personally dont believe they are ordering. More like responding to or sending an email. I think it is a game. Shannon used to do it continually, and drove me nuts running for her containers to fill with wolfgang food. Like a greedy rush for the food. Made me laugh so hard, as I used to wonder how many storage units she rented, as according to her she owned every single item she showed.I only watch now when I am ready to go to sleep. lol. Occasional peruse items online if they send coupon or something, but I got fed up with the fact they put all items in one box that I had paid $27 to ship, and it takes 10 days to arrive?? I once put 2 items with 2 different P.O.s in one box to return to save shipping. Well, never credited for $49 shoes, and learned my lesson about that. The latest aggrivation is reruns. Ok, fine, but then realized the price on the screen was often higher than what hosts said. So much for shopping channel reruns. We have so many options to shop now. Even with so called tsv I google & have found lower prices. Nah, I now save a lot of money that I spend on fun stuff.

The hosts should NOT shop while they are on! When did this awful trend start? They have time to order their items after their show. In fact, maybe this is another “marketing ploy”…better order now, even the host is getting one! HSN is really treating its customers like kids, without any dignity.

This is hilarious to me, the trivial things people get triggered by is astounding, they are salespeople and if they seem to BUY what is shown then it must be great, it’s a SALES tactic! And even if they are buying so what, if that annoys you then There are other issues going on.

This is hilarious to me, that someone doesn’t care if they are being fooled by HSN’s marketing ploy. Maybe you don’t remember how professional the hosts used to be….shopping was fun and if the hosts did, indeed, own the item, they told us. Don’t the hosts get to see the items they are presenting that day, before they are on the air? Why wouldn’t you buy the item before you’re on TV??? Can’t help but wonder if some of these posts are written by HSN personnel themselves? Too many rude comments….some very defensive…..just wondering???

I certainly do recall professionalism. Yes the rude comments. I stopped posting here, for a while, as one was a personal attack. I am proud to live in America and appreciate my freedom of speech. I have an opinion and can voice it. Yes, it is interesting some folk feel compelled to stand up & protect a corporation. lol I enjoy reading different opinions. How boring it would be if we all thought alike. Perhaps u are correct tillyboy and they are hsn personnel.
