DYSON vs ???

I have a Dyson v8 that is several years old. Worked great for a long time, but now needs to be replaced. Not sure if I should get another Dyson $$$. I love it because no cord to trip over (I’m 73), runs for 40 mins, and did a very good job for a long time. Anyone have another brand of a CORDLESS vac that they love? Running time? Thanks.

I have a Dyson V8 like you. Mine started running slow. Sometime only 5 minutes. I purchased a new battery and now it runs like new.

I like to use Consumer’s Reports and you can pay to access the online service. They test them and rate them and they buy them from stores so it is not like those fake services that get the vacuums for free and sort of test it. I just needed to replace a vacuum, but not cordless. I looked at their ratings and weight of machines (that is my biggest need) and noise (second biggest issue).
