FROM BAD TO WORSE- SLOW SHIPPING AND SLOW DELIVERY TIME
If you’ve been frustrated with the post office this year, you probably won’t be thrilled to hear this. Their service is going to get even slower.
Starting Friday, Oct. 1, the U.S. Postal Service will implement new standards for First Class Mail. The current benchmark is one to three days but the Postal Service says this will now be one to five days.
RIDUCULOUS !!!! I had already planned to not be buying much in November and December…. I guess I must include October. SLOW SHIPPING ( merchants) and SLOW DELIVERY ( USPS) will save me money.
Jus sayin

On top of all our complaints, postage is going up starting today, October 1st. They mentioned it is just for the Holidays, but I’m wondering………..

I dislike that all packages from HSN come via UPS to my City, then it gets turned over to the
Post Office to finish delivery. And yet the UPS truck is in my neighborhood everyday. But I have to wait anywhere between 2 to 3 days more for delivery. And this is with shipping paid by me.-
Same for me. As do some of my Amazon packages. The Amazon truck is around often as well.
I keep getting neighbors’ mail and boxes. USPS & FedEx ground errors. The box was from Nordstrom’s. After day 2 of FedEx not picking up for correct delivery, the devil in me wanted to know what was in that box. I resisted.

I had a Target item shipped, because local stores were OOS. It was delivered on Sunday. The &#@#$ mail person crammed the Target box onto my regular sized mailbox. Target boxes are strong, so I could not get it out of my mailbox with my ordinary-strength hands. I took a picture of it and went to my local PO on Monday. The supervisor just stared at my photo-like I can’t believe this. It turns out it was delivered by a near-by PO, as mine doesn’t have any workers on Sunday. All my Target boxes have been placed on my covered front porch in the past. If any of my neighbors saw me attacking my mailbox with a box cutter, they would probably thought I had finally lost it.

Patience is a virtue. A few days wait for anything, especially a purchase, is such a petty thing to rail about.

I am not “railing” whatever that means about anything .

Just for the record, the USPS generates its own revenue. The USPS isn’t a tax funded entity.
-
Our tax dollars are wasted on the US Postal System. It should just be contracted out to UPS or a private service. With such slow delivery times, it won’t allow us much time to receive an item and return in 30 days. Items spend a week or more stuck in packaging too, so you might not get something you ordered for 3 weeks.
-
I was confused about the 30 day returns so I asked hsn. You have actually got 60 days from the date of placing the order, 30 days of which to try the item, and the other 30 days to receive it and for hsn to receive it back.
