Flash Player
Can anyone please tell me how to disengage flash player. Not a tech person so please bear with me if I don’t understand how to do it. Asked son 3 weeks ago to help, but he’s been too busy.

Just go to your “Control Panel” in Windows, the program is there. Look for Adobe Flash Player, left click on it, then left click uninstall, follow each window prompt to completion.

Simple11, thank you so much for responding. I went to where you said but in the end I couldn’t find Flash Player or Adobe Flash Player. At my age, I think I get too nervous I’ll do something wrong & mess it all up. My son finally comes tomorrow & he’s a whiz like you, he understands all this stuff. I’m hopeless. Many times he’s asked “Mom how did you even do this?” Thanks anyway.

Hi debhlynn7, here is off their web sight
company has published uninstall instructions for both Windows and Mac users. Here’s how it works:
Download an uninstaller application for Flash Player. (There is a different one for each operating system; and if you’re on Mac, pay attention to which OS version you’re using.)
Run the uninstaller. (On Windows, you’ll first need to close out all browsers and programs that use Flash. On iOS, you’ll do that as part of the process.)
Then, you can verify that the uninstallation was successful by restarting your computer and then checking the status of Flash Player on your computer from the Adobe website.
So long, Flash Player.Hope this helps you. Have a good morning😁

Hsnappawful, Thanks so much for responding. Unfortunately I don’t know how to download an uninstaller. I get confused with the terminology. I know I have a desktop running Windows & use Google Chrome, but other than this, I’m lost. I get so nervous thinking I’m going to really make a mess of things if I hit the wrong thing & even asking my hubby brings about WWIII. Trying to pack an entire household in 3 weeks before closing on my mom’s house has left me with so much pain & fatigue I can’t even see straight. Son’s coming tomorrow finally (asked 3 wks ago) so he’ll know & give me that “really Mom?” look. He used to say you can’t do anything that you can’t go back & undo until he couldn’t even figure out how I did what I did. It comes so naturally to the young ones. Thanks again for trying to help. I even forgot my password for email cause I haven’t used it for so long. Hurts too much to think! Please send a prayer my way if you get a chance. Thanks!

Hi debhlynn7, I am truly sorry for your issues at hand. Technology is something that I too do not understand all the time and I have to ask my sons, their wives and my daughter about it. I take it in the best I can but I surely don’t let it bother me. The LORD has blessed me 10 fold just being here. At 24 I had a major stroke leaving my right side from head to toe numb, no feeling, nothing, took 1 yr to learn how to walk again, how to use my left hand to do everything, drive a vehicle left footed, drive left handed and my 40 yr anniversary of my stroke is this July 12, had cancer at 34 but the LORD continues to bless me.
Enjoy each day you are given to the fullest because we are not promised tomorrow. I believe He has a reason I am still here and this goes to you as well. Bless you and your family and the LORD watch over each of you in life’s journey. Take care of yourself and family, stay strong and let the LORD guide you in all you do. It has been a pleasure to chat with you.🙏🙏🙏 My name is Benny

@debhlynn7, I believe you can get help on the Adobe website to remove Flash Player.

Thanks MaryMary1969! I know I could probably find the Adobe website but I’m so hopeless in understanding how to do stuff & terminology that I’m afraid I’ll do something really dumb & mess it all up. Son says to leave things alone ’cause he never can figure out how I do what I do. 3 weeks after I asked for his help he’s finally coming tomorrow. I just hope I didn’t leave computer open to hacking by not uninstalling it sooner. Someone said it was really bad not to do it. Thanks again for responding. Appreciate it!

@debhlynn7, if your son rolls his eyes at you, remind him you had to teach him how to use a spoon.
