Speaking of AM, stilettos with overly tight cropped jeans? Ridiculous! SA does it too.
The size the models are wearing is not even mentioned during some presentations, but certain show hosts don’t hesitate to let the world know that they have on an extra small over and over and over until you are sick of hearing it. The minute I see VS presenting fashions I don’t even watch with the sound off; I don’t watch at all. The way she wiggles around and smiles at herself in the camera is so off putting. There is a fine line between having an outgoing personality and being just plain obnoxious and full of yourself. I think HSN/QVC are on a mission to appeal to younger viewers, and they don’t care if the older audience likes it or not. I hate to tell them but when the ladies who made HSN & QVC successful quit spending there go the networks. I know many young women and none of them shop on HSN or QVC.
Well worded!! 💯 👏 I see all sizes on QVC. Also, the HSN model Piper is tiny and so is Diana! And honestly, Kenyah is so pretty she probably could put alot of us to shame, regardless of size. They are all different sizes and all beautiful and do their job well. I like seeing the variety! And these are fashion models, not supermodels, so we don’t need to expect “perfection”.
You make some valid points, but your comment about the QVC models being overweight was unkind and inappropriate. The QVC models come in all sizes, and there are plenty who wear XXS. The plus size models are there to demonstrate how the clothing would look on women who wear size 14 and up, which is the majority of the American female population.
Posted in Forum: HSN TVQVC is the worst……Andrew Lessman is the best thing on HSN. But QVC/HSN has lost all of their good Hosts/Models. The hosts tend to exaggerate everything on TV, then when we receive it, we realize we have been lied to.
The quality is no longer there. The prices have gone up. The models are all overweight and should not be modeling clothing…of any kind. The reason we all return things is because they are not as promised. Then if you do return to much, they drop your account. How do they not realize the hosts are making the goods sound too good to be true, and upon receiving the items, they are a deep disappointment. Then there are shipping costs…both way. I watch Andrew Lessman but he also has a website. I no longer watch them as you can find lower prices on handbags from designers cheaper at their own outlet stores. The clothing? Not even close to being on trend. Matronly, cheap, awful fabrics. Neither show has any class……….
I have not watched since last Monday but I can imagine how bad it was knowing how much Marlo Smith loves to hog the camera as if she is the star. I thought that their job as host was to introduce the product and let the vendor representative do the presentation. I know that they have sycophants that feed their egos on social media and that makes them feel like stars instead of sales people.
HSN/QVC should just let the vendors have a block of time to run it the way they want to and bring in an assistant and models of their choosing if they want instead of letting HSN have so much control over how their products are marketed. HSN and QVC hosts are almost like amateur hour and last chance jobs for wash outs in other areas like radio and television. I believe that some of them do lines before they go on the air. Adam freeman is a drama queen, Runyun is manic, how many times do they have to say to check out now and not wait! Your color will be gone if you don’t buy now! Those are con men phrases. When home shopping started it was before the internet and Amazon and was novel, they seem to be in the last days and seem very desperate.
The last order that I placed on HSN was before COVID and it took 2 1/2 weeks for the ring to arrive without any documentation and looked like it had been handled, it was a size smaller than what I ordered, I have several jewelers ring sizing kits and it I know exactly what size that they sent me, they wanted $25 dollars to return it. I have ordered many rings on Amazon that arrived in 2 days sealed and fit perfectly, so you know where I get my jewelry from.
Wholy agree. Also, several models aren’t wearing clothes that fit their size. Kenya looks to be no larger than an xl. Kara is so thin a size 4 swims on her. Angie, Val, Dagmara are all medium, whereas it’s not believable that Sayla is as well. Helen appears larger than a medium. Bobbie appears smaller than a zero…. just keep in mind the garment size chart, the material content and ignore what they say . believe your own eyes! QVC is the same way, so is ShopHQ.
I am newer to HSN and QVC than many on here but I remember when I started watching how the clothing models would wear their true size and show the back side and waist band. And how the models didn’t have a ton of toppers on top of the jeans or pants they are showing. The better quality of clothing but this is the same at retail stores, everything is lesser quality. Sign of the times that people are looking for lower prices in a high price economy.
I agree. But all the jeans on HSN and QVC that are bell bottoms or any flare at all are made longer than the straight leg jeans or skinny jeans. And you are right. They expect us to wear a higher heel with flared jeans. So they make them too long for the average person who just wears sandals or tennis shoes all day. I am an average in pants and the bellbottoms are made 31-32 in which is way too long. And jeans don’t look good hemmed, plus some have a style that you can’t hem. I would get the petite in the 29 in but then the rise is short on me. Wake up designers,. We are not running around all day like the models.
Everything has gone downhill. HSN, if you bought more than one item of the same, then you only paid half the cost of shipping.. now, , you if bought three pairs of jeans, you pay shipping and handling for each one and the return fees like QVC have gotten outrageous. Also, the models have gotten worse and worse like QVC. I could go on and on but those are some of the differences .
“Watching themselves in the monitors”, oh yes, a lot of the hosts do that, including some of them who are “not so young”!!! Let the models do their jobs and quit trying to model the items while you prance and twirl around looking silly. Some hosts on QVC also do this, one in particular. I miss the professionalism that made watching HSN a pleasure. So sad to see those days gone forever.
Oh, here is an article about the 4 hosts who are leaving. ********** I have noticed the frantic fashion shows with many models walking around the stage, in and out of camera shot, and I find it strange. It is good that HSN makes some changes but it is difficult to really see the clothing if the cameras are not showing it up close. HSN stopped showing the rear side of pants during the pandemic. Or they have the models in a topper that covers most of the shirt and the pants. I can’t tell how the back side looks so I pass. Or I can’t tell how the front of a blouse looks with it covered in a jacket or cardigan, so I pass. We have this choice to just pass, or watch something else. But if 4 hosts are now gone, maybe the hosts who are staying have good reason to push sales and act frantic on stage. QVC is also doing the frantic stuff with two hosts and the product employee. I guess this is trying to find new audience, younger.

Posted in Forum: HSN TVNearly all the hosts are sporting the middle-part hairstyles. Why? Someone calls the shots and everyone jumps! QVC is doing the same thing. Just because something is called in style doesn’t mean it looks good. I remember the models in the past looking so good and knew how to model (move). Now many of them bounce around, don’t know what to do with their feet and hands supporting an unbecoming, middle-parted hairstyle. Like looking at a cult following. Could use some classier direction.
I find the clothes at HSN to be lesser in quality then what you would find in Walmart. Everything is plain out Cheap, Ugly and nothing I want to spend my money on.
As far as the models some are pretty, but the stylist gets only a few hits and mostly misses.
The models are dressed in a size too small, but they are also dressing them in their ugly cheap fashions.
As far as clothes QVC is so above HSN in every department. I am not crazy about either Home Shopping Network, but you will always find better quality and selection in clothing and everything else with QVC.
HSN seems to be the junk you don’t need or want home shopping channel.
Sorry guys, apparently Siri didn’t translate what I was talking about In my post but I think you got it… I wish HSN would’ve never merged with QVC because they just went downhill. I have even noticed that now the hosts act like they do on QVC and the models oh my gosh have they really gotten bad.
I can’t believe I am reading all these reviews that I so much agree with. HSN and QVC should take note of everyone’s comments.
For one, when did the models start talking? I prefer when they didn’t. I do appreciate the fact that they have plus size, short, tall, skinny, chubby, etc. models. I can find myself in one of those making it easier for me to determine what size I should get. But I don’t need the extra chatter from them.
Like you, I don’t need 2 or 3 people trying to sell me a garment.
