Anyone have an instant pot? What do you think? I’m on the fence.. Thanks in advance.
I bought one from hsn a couple of weeks ago and already used it many times – turkey chili, coconut curry, marinara sauce, oatmeal, chicken pineapple rice. I love it. Will be making salmon in it tonight. I’ve had a slow cooker for years but this is my first appliance with a pressure cook feature. I like that I can also use this as a slow cooker if I want (although I don’t want to anymore as the pressure cook makes it taste like it’s been simmering all day in 30 – 60 minutes).
Thanks all! I bought it with flex pay and 7.49 shipping… The next time I looked it was 20.00 more and 14.49 shipping. thanks again, dizzydays
I purchased it for my daughter about a week ago.

She loves it. I was going to purchase one for myself this morning when it was on a flex pay of 19.00 a month. By the time I finished my exercise, the extra flex pay has gone away.
If you go to Facebook and like them, there are all kind of recipes more than what you know what to do with .
In searching the prices today, I discovered on the “Am…. website it was for less and with no shipping, although there is not flex pay, I discovered there was one that was 8 qt instead of 6 qt for 20.00 more.
I made a purchase for the pot, and it hurt hsn for not offering the extra flex pay throughout the day, because I purchased the larger one and received free shipping instead of over $14.00 for s&h with HSN. even though I had to pay upfront, it was worth getting the larger one for almost the cost of shipping on this one…. I am glad HSN messed up removing the extra flex pay because I benefited from it.

Is it the same thing as a crock pot? If so, I love using mine. Great for summer when it’s hot and you don’t want the oven on. I love it pretty much year round and it makes everything tender and the house smells good all day, plus you are free to get other chores done. I have a pressure cooker too but still have yet to use it. I keep meaning to get it out.
It’s pretty much just another pressure cooker. I love my pressure cooker, which also doubles as a slow cooker. I use it just about every day. It makes everything so much more flavorful and meats very tender. You can use a less expensive cut of beef and yet it is so juicy and tender. Mmm…..now I’m getting hungry.
I just got 1 from Kohl’s about 3 weeks ago with coupons and Kohl’s cash, I used it last night to make a Mississippi Pot Roast. It depends on what you like to cook and eat. I have the 7 in 1, and it cooks faster than stovetop and oven. Beef is much more tender too. There are lots of recipes online for the Instant Pot. This is my 3rd pressure cooker and they say it’s the #1 seller. I plan to continue using it, but then again I do a lot of cooking. I’m trying to use my stove less and reduce the heat in my kitchen.
