Help with my Elite Pressure Cooker silicon seal. Please Help.
I made some tomato sauce in my 8 QT Elite Pressure Cooker and it stained my silicon seal. Is there any way I can get the stain out of the seal. Can I soak it in something? I don’t really want to buy a new seal as this one is working fine.
I went through something similar after cooking pasta in my old WG pressure cooker.
1.Submerge the lid in 2 caps of bleach diluted with enough water to reach up to liner ring only.
2.Soak for a few hours , rinse with your sink sprayer numerous times .
3. Dry with papers towels & place on a clean dish towel to make sure all the water drains.
PS. I can remove the seal on my version, but chicken out lol. I Purchase the unit many years ago.
If the seal was almost clear/white it will stain. As long as it is sealing the cooker I would not worry about it.
