Chef Ming Tsai
He will have a Today’s Special on 09/28. Who will be watching? Anyone own his products? Good/bad? I wonder how HSN can have so many chefs selling similar competing products (Curtis Stone, Wolfgang Puck, etc.).
I have purchased all of the pieces of the “hammered” collection in copper-bronze and the induction burner. Plus, two of the 8-quart pot. I love them all and use them every day. They are so beautiful! What I would really love to see next is a “hammered” roasting pan with rack. Maybe, like the one that Analon has with rounded sides. Can you imagine having a roaster with the Midnight Steel ceramic nonstick interior? Clean up would be a breeze! That would be awesome! 🙂
Good to hear, scrubbie!
I bought this induction burner/grill pan with lid set and I love it. Heats up SO fast and cooks evenly (which isn’t always true with these things). It also has a raised lip to keep your pan in place and not sliding around the burner top. Love that! I have a huge 5 qt pan with a fryer basket, etc from Ming that I bought several years ago and it has held up great….still looks beautiful…inside and out. No complaints here
It’s an induction burner and pot set
I bought a set of Wolfgang Puck steak knives years ago and they rusted quite badly. The only other thing I have of his is a pot I bought only recently. So far I like it. I don’t own any Simply Ming but I’ve always enjoyed watching him cook.
I owned a set from Ming Tsai, but I tossed them all out in less than 6 months. The one thing that I do have, and have had for years is a WP large stainless steel wok pan. It is still good. I just used it to make goats cheese. I bought a set of pans from Curtis Stone and although they lasted a lot longer than MS’s they just can’t handle high heat and the outside is discolored, however I still use them and the inside is still good. I now only use stainless steel, and for me they last longer. The WP wok is used
a lot. Each to their own, but his is my experience. I also had to toss out a Kitchen Aid food processor, I know it had many bad reviews, and I am not sure why it was so faulty, but people I know who have had the much older ones for years have never had a problem with them. This one was a complete design dud. Not sure about the Cuisenart one that is highly recommended.
Looks like maybe the new induction burner. I have his other induction burner, which is very nice.
I have items from all 3 chefs you named. They each have items that I love, and use daily.
