THIS IS MY FIRST TIME ON HERE AND I REALLY JUST WANT TO KNOW DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT A CLUTCH BACK TO A STUD EARRING IS?
I have 1 pair of screw backs for some diamond studs (old) and they seem stripped.
Has anyone else experienced this?
A clutch-back, as the other posters have stated, is the part that actually holds the earring (stud) in place.
The clutch-back slips over the post of the earring.
They come in all different shapes and sizes…
Hi Onelover28 and welcome to the forums! A clutchback is used to secure the stud on the ear. Typically it is a rounded disc with two raised areas. They come in different sizes. Hope this helps and hope to see you around the forums often!
A clutch back to a post earring is also known as a butterfly back.
