REQUEST TO: Carol Brodie, Rarities!
Carol, as one of your Rarities GUYS, and I also shop your line for mum who has really loved some pieces too, I have a small request for you to consider for future offerings:
In your earrings, would you please consider LEVER BACKS or others that latch (other than posts/or posts with screws)?
Mum has hated posts since she was a girl, and she doesn’t trust wire backs. Leverbacks are her favourite, but there are others that work like hinged hoops, latch backs, and last but DEFINITELY NOT least, Omega Backs are another winner for their simplicity AND SECURITY!
Your new Rarities White Topaz and Pearl Evil Eye Drop Gold-Plated Earrings (HSN Item 611-980), for instance, are PERFECT for mum, but have WIRE BACKS which she just won’t wear. She’s a June baby, so I always like to give her some sort of PEARLS for her birthday this month, and the EVIL EYE has ALWAYS been immensely popular, at least on her father’s side of the family. For what it’s worth, these are GORGEOUS.
One other suggestion/comment on these, and another new item or two in your Rarities line:
Normally, I can rely on you and Rarities pieces to have clear accent stones to be UPSCALED to White Zircon stones, a quality step notably above the white topaz used by the majority of other lines, whether on HSN or elsewhere, even by notable designers like Victoria Wieck who is no longer on HSN and which always disappointed me to use what I find to be sub-standard stones on higher-end designs with higher-end central stones.
I’m not sure why you chose White Topaz for these earrings or the matching piece, but I noticed immediately that they weren’t your usual White Zircon upgrade. PLEASE stick with your quality hallmark of the better stone. Frankly, I’m DEFINITELY willing to pay a bit more for the flash and flare of white zircons vs. white topaz, which can be so lifeless in person and without bright light.
Hope you have a great summer, and looking forward to your new offerings!
I’ll miss you on Facebook, as I left due to FB’s highly publicized privacy breaches. Therefore, I hope you find messages from your Rarities Guys here on HSN!
Rarities Guy Mike
