Rarities- I am doubting the long term quality
I love the Rarities brand, the designs, color, and price is all amazing. But is it a case of if it’s too good to be true then it probably is? I have several peices from this brand and I love them all. Because I love my jewelry so, I purchased a large hanging jewelry mirrored vanity to safelty hold and protect my jewelry. I don’t wear my rarities jewelry often because I feel it is so special….but I have noticed when I do wear it…..it’s breaking, or gems are coming loose. One of Carol’s points is that her jewelry is durable and is made for every day. I am writing this blog post out of complete heartbreak, I purchased the blue chalcedony/white agate ring because I fell in love with it! I have worn it a total of 2 times before today. As I am looking down at my hand earlier I noticed that 2 of the white agate stones are now gray!!! I can also see that the gray is starting on other stones as well, 2 seconds after that the blue chalcedony stone popped out! I don’t understand….how do I begin to fix this? If this was the first occassion of Rarities not standing the test of time (especially with out wearing it often) I would not be upset, stuff happens. But I have a list of items that I have to fix, the part that really bugs me it that I don’t wear these peices very often at all. I purchased the dragonfly cuff, the dragonfly is now falling off. My 10K Love necklace broke after 3 wears, black rhodium plating is coming off of my black spinel cigar ring after a few wears. I purchased the new black spinel pave button earrings and after 2 wears a stone is missing. I love jewelry, I love Carol’s jewerly….but I am seriously questioning the longevity/quality of this brand. I never sleep in my jewelry, or go to the gym, or wash my hands with jewerly on…..all of it goes back in my non- tarnish vanity when I get home.
Am I the only one experiancing this?
I don’t have any Rarities…but if I did have that many pieces from any one vendor that were having as many problems as you’ve experienced…I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out to the vendors and tell them exactly what is happening to their pieces…how and why. There’s no excuse to have so many problems with so many items.
Perhaps you can post on the vendors page. Is there a Facebook page for them, or do they have a blog here at HSN? Also …Customer Service is so helpful at HSN, and within the community threads. I’m sure they would certainly be able to tell you where you’d be able to contact the vendor, or to even contact the vendor themselves on your behalf
I’m so sorry that you’re having so many problems. Hopefully Rarities will make some kind of adjustment for you because of all the problems. In any event…you need to reach out to them and also to Customer Service here at HSN.
Good luck…I hope you’re able to get some satisfaction for all your trouble… :smileyhappy:
I’m sorry for your issues with Rarities jewelry, which I happen to love too!! Firstly contact HSN customer service, I can’t tell how many times they have helped me and we have always reached a solution that has help me immensely. I can’t say enough about them, I only wish other companies had HSN customer service and I mean that from my heart!! Secondly, you can only contact Carol through Facebook, she does have a website online, but it has no contact info for her. HSN and I both found that out. So see what HSN CS first says and then if you want to Facebook Carol to see if she can repair or replace them, if your return time has elapsed and you don’t seem to find a solution for you to meet your needs. I’m sure she would want to help you with her jewelry! Best of luck to you and I hope all will be resolved for you soon!! Try and stay positive and we all hope for the best outcome for you!! :womanhappy:
WOW…. so sorry you are having so many issues with the Rarities line.
I have nothing in this line, so I can’t speak to the quality, but I have read quite a few complaints about stones falling out. I read about an open Cross hinged bangle braclet 410985 that was falling apart or opening on several people & they lost the bracelet. One lady lost 2. I also see she too is using compressed turquoise (a pet peeve of mine).
I don’t know how long you have had the different pieces, but HSN is real good about helping you when you have a problem . And if any of the pieces are still for sale, I would go & leave a review stating what went wrong with yours. I don’t think I would want a replacement, but that’s your call.
Another thing you can do is contact Carol B on any blog she might have on Hsn. Also see if she is on Facebook… most everybody is..contact her there. I would think she should stand behind her jewelry line. If she does not, that speaks loudly!
I would make a list of each piece of jewelry, with item number, price, date bought, number of times worn, what broke or fell out & if possible take pics of each piece to show the problem.
Lastly, I would suggest you stop buying any more from this line untill all your issues have been resolved. Best of luck…… I feel so bad for you!
