My name is … and I am a jewelry addict
Is there a 12 step group that deals with people who are addicted to jewelry? :womanlol:
Watching Joan Boyce today with her TSV made me realize just how much I LOVE beautiful, sparkly adornments. I have collected jewelry since day one and have two Joy Mangano jewelry cases filled to the brim, a smaller jewelry box also filled, along with two hanging organizers. I think I’m a bit out of control. I even gave away over 100 pr. of earrings and I still have plenty to enjoy.
Seriously, I never buy more than what I can afford, but HSN does have a great selection from which to choose to help add more beautiful things to my collection.
Anyone else have the same problem? Please share.
I too am a jewelry addict. I discovered HSN a couple of years ago and I have really stocked up on all kinds of nice pieces. So much so that I have had to purchase the Joy Mangano jewelry boxes, her Better Beauty Cases and the over the door organizer. I sparkle like new money whenever I leave the house, but now I stay broke. Never thought I would know the UPS man like I do. I will wake up and watch a jewelry show. I’ve got it bad, need a 12 step program for sure. By the way I’m new to this forum. This is my first time posting, hello my fellow jewelry lover’s. I am Girlygirl57 from Illinois.
I love jewelry but I can’t afford them cause I don’t like cheap ones but only like silver and gold ones. I wish I could buy hundred of them but I only have 5 rings, 15 pr of earrings…
I’m right there with you…you can never have too much jewelry!! My first job was in a jewelry store..that was it! Also love Joan’s animal print jammies…she’s so cool!!!!!
Oh, goodness! Thank you for posting this. Though I knew in my mind that there were others like me, in my heart I felt I was the only one: guilt ridden whenever I think of the number of rings I had amassed in only two years, yet mindlessly pleased whenever I look down and see one of the beauties sparkling happily at me.
Oh, and the rush of looking through the listings and finding ‘the one’, and then putting it in my favs and dutifully stalking it daily until it goes on sale. And then the adrenaline rush again as I make the purchase. And then the anticipation for the day I have it in my hand!… Yup, I’m not just a jewelry addict, I’m a shopaholic!
Happy dance! Got my neon apatite ring the other day, haven’t taken it off since, GORGEOUS. Today I got my Iolite and diamond with five large iolite stones running east-west. The vendor really must’ve fixed the problem with that first batch, except for a very slight differnce in the middle stone, (most people wouldn’t notice), the ring is lovely, deep purple blue stones that go clear at a certain angle due to the strong pleochroism. I keep moving my finger to catch the change.. I love stones like this. And what a rich history! The vikings used it to navigate by the sun.
Flyby I am glad to hear that you are safe. yes they will get what is coming to them.
Gosh, I have so many favorite rings now, I need more fingers.
It could be worse! I am a shopping addict…not just jewelry…EVERYTHING!
I love shopping, now that I mostly do it online. It doesn’t matter what I am shopping for, I love the hunt, the coupon codes, the search for the lowest price or a suitable substitute.
I’m really good at it, if only I could somehow make a living at it…that would be a dream come true!
I know I am a jewelry addict. I may need a 13 step program.:womansurprised:
I need to cut back, I don’t have nearly the collection Cindy and others have, but when you can’t remember what you own and are surprised when you find old pieces that you don’t remember buying, I think it’s time to slow down.
I’m still agonizing over a large portion of very expensive pieces that disappeared in my last move, I don’t know if they somehow got into a box that went into storage, or if they were stolen by the movers. Ok I promised myself not to think about them, I’m starting to hyperventilate.
Hi flyby2, I have a lot of jewelry and give a lot away to my family to make room for more. But, as you said I know when to stop buying. I love the jewelry on HSN.
PS, watched a wee bit of Joan today but left before I got carried away lol:womanhappy:
I am a jewelry addict too
I’ve given some away to a sister just to make room for more . Plus I feel guilty if I don’t wear an item very much. I’d rather see it worn by someone than to just sit in my jewelry box
flyby2…you need to come to the jewelry thread…Sparkle and Shine…that’s where we addicts hang out. And talk bling…
