i’ve been on a fruitless search for my fav pendant i lost 🙁 would have purchased in early 90’s. it came in pink or purple princess cut cz’s in a maltese silver cross on a black leather braided cord? can’t even find a pic of it?
I am disabled and have Home Health Care aids in my home. When my regular aid is out I have fill ins and that puts me at more risk for people stealing from me. Even when my regular aid is here I am still at risk of being victim of being stolen from. I’ve had many very special things stolen. Now I have a sturdy file cabinet with several drawers that locks. I hide the keys. I’ve had all of my Jay King pieces stolen, and nearly all my other nice pieces also. I was able to find one special Jay King piece on ebay and was so very pleased. I worked my whole life to be able to afford a few nice things, only to have aids and even family steal almost all of them. I ecourage everybody to photograph everything and add a good discription to the photograph, along with price paid and other purchase information. Keep them locked up tight and hide the keys!!! ( When Jay King says a certain stone is limited or a one time deal he means it!!! I love his coral and tourqoise. I had several coral pieces stolen. One was a black and gold necklace and earring set. Now, on the secondary market the price is thru the roof! Trust what he says! He said that would happen! )
I wish more of our favorite jewelry designers would create earrings with omega back and other types of closures that are secure. Clutch backs and fish hooks just don’t cut it for security. At least not for me.
It would also be nice if our favorite jewelry designers would make posts that would not inflame sensite ears. I know it is a stretch, but maybe if .925 Sterling Silver ear rings could be made with gold findings that go thru the ear, that would be great! Or maybe Surgical Steal.
Jay, I love the stories about the stones!~ Please include Romance cards that tell which mine the stones come from and any interesting stories about the pieces! I want to pass these pieces down to my neice and these cards would be great!
If more things could be made in the USA that would be great!
Jay, I love your designs and your stories. Keep them coming!

So very sorry to hear of your lost favorite pendant. It sounds Beautiful and must have had true Meaning within itself, I will pray you find it. I feel when I lost a very special piece from Tiffanys after praying for it to show up, I had to accept things sometimes move on for a reason. Looking that it had intense meaning was more important to my Heart than the loss of materialistic item, with that I just prayed the person who found it would find as much Joy and Happiness, and my tears had to be released, I had to go on, and Prayed Deeply the Person finding it could find the joy and a reason for reminding them of what I held in my heart. xoxox ToffeeDudexoxoxo
losing a beloved treasure is heartbreaking. but sometimes a loss spurs us into the adventure of hunting for a new treasure. there are so many beautiful cross choices. wide variety of prices and gems. good luck with your hunt!
That is so disappointing to lose jewelry we enjoy, heidikorz. If you peruse eBay or other secondary markets online, perhaps you could locate the necklace, eventually. People often go through their jewelry and list pieces from every era.
I learned a lesson over a year ago with a pair of hook earrings. I noticed after many errands that I was missing a hook earring. I backtracked everywhere I had been, ugh! I never found it. But now I use a rubber earring back for hook earrings that don’t secure closed. That said, I still lost a Stephen Dweck clip earring, from the same ear, so maybe I’m doing something that isn’t helping any. ?
Sorry about your loss. Same happened to me with a diamond earring from my grandmother. There is a Maltese type cross in technibond I have my eye on. Although the posts here do say the quality isn’t up to par I still want it and I will get the jewelry protection plan if I get it. It’s the most beautiful cross I have seen here on HSN besides a few Nicky Butler ones which are gorgeous. Best of luck with your search. Who knows it might yet pop up.
looked all over the bar that night and asked the staff, yes it was a while ago and i still miss it!
i lost it @ a bar, it had a clip that fit over the cord 🙁 i can’t even remember the brand 🙁 can’t find anything similar!
I’m so sorry you lost your favorite pendant.
Do you know how long it’s been missing?
Did you put it in a “safe place” & forgot where that place is ? I have done that.
I hate when you misplace something, or someone helps themself to your things.
Good luck in your search !!
ps… Nicky Butler has some beautiful crosses ~
What brand was it?
