Joan Boyce jewelry….
Hi~ Since Joan Boyce’s jewelry line has a warranty can you get them wet? Do they turn and can you wear them all the time? If not, is there another line on here that you can wear daily without taking off? Thanks
You gals are the best! So informative and great advice from many of you! I think I may go with the Stately Steel as I want a necklace to wear daily. I appreciate you all..Thanks so much :smileyvery-happy:
I don’t think there is any "costume" jewelry that you can wear every day, and take showers with it, swim or garden with it. And although Joan’s jewelry is of excellent quality, you should not expect it to perform that way. Stones are glued in and the finish is only dipped and not solid, So rough wear would not hold up. If you want "costume" that is impervious, stainless steel is your best bet. But it could not have any stones on it. They would fall out too.
It depends on the particular type of jewelry you are wondering about. I have purchased the rings with all crystals in them. I have dropped, banged , hit this ring so many times , but it is still perfect. Almost…. The problem that I have with my ringssss is that the back side of the rings turn. The top stays pefect. So Idecided to keep the rings considering it may be a chemical thing in my body that is reacting with the metal. You can’t tell by looking at the rings. I would use the glue on anything that has little stones in the ring. I have learned many lessons about that. Good luck!! I do love Joan Boyce jewelry. It is beautiful with a reasonable cost!
TWEEZERS and E-600 Glue- The best. NON YELLOWING AND SELF LEVELING-
I dropped one of Joan’s "egg" earrings and one of the "pearls" fell out. It was glued so I don’t think I will be risking getting anything from her line wet. Am trying to decide whether to attempt to repair it myself or whether to return it for repair.
I would think that since she has a life time warrenty on it, it would be very sturdy. It shouldnt rust and the color wouldnt run off the stones when wet so I would say water wont hurt it. I always expect the jewelry I buy should hold up to daily normal wear.
I wouldn’t risk getting my Joan Boyce wet but there’s very little jewelry I would get wet. I don’t want anything accidentally going down the drain. I do wear earrings and necklaces that are 14k and above in the pool.
