Had to turn off Heidi Daus – one of my favorite jewelry designers
I’m not sure where to post this but I thought I would put it under "customer service" since it’s a general suggestion. I adore Heidi Daus and look forward to her appearances. I was particularly excited that she had a TS to look forward to. However, the absolute moment she appeared at midnight, the show hosts were incessantly and frantically ranting about the fact that at any moment these items would sell out. I watched each show and each show was the same. It wasn’t until 8:00pm that all but one option was on waitlist. It is a very annoying and unnerving sales tactic and, although some may believe it is tied to numbers, I do not. I do know, however, that it is tied to numbers in the sense that when a host yells something like this out. – even though it isn’t true – and more of the item sells as a result, the producers will tell them in their earpieces to do it again to get another sales surge. At any rate, with the TS being over, I tuned in again at 1:00the following day (today) to watch Heidi again and it immediately began again – at even a more intense level, if you can believe it, on just about every piece. I couldn’t take it and had to turn off the TV. I also won’t be tuning in to her 2:00 show, strictly for this reason. I have to think that this horrible and highly distracting sales tactic is annoying to others as well. I am a fan of other shopping channels who do not use this technique TO THIS DEGREE AND I think they are quite successful. Just a suggestion. I would be glad to return as a customer if this should ever change.
