Emma Skye Questions
I am interested in the TS today, but am wondering if all of those stones are glued in? Do his pieces lose their stones? Just wondering about quality. Once one stone falls out of a piece of jewelry, it is not wearable, so that is why I am asking how they hold up? Thanks for you help!
This post is a bit older, but just had to chime in.
A while back, I bought the Emma Skye Bold Chain Link necklace with the beautiful round pave set ball pendant with faux citrine on the bottom. Like the previous poster, I treat all my jewelry, wether costume or fine, gently. But, I am a bit of a clean freak, so I do clean them a bit more than I should. Especially after wearing them on a warm, sweat inducing day.
For my stainless steel jewelry, I usually just clean them with a bit of mild dish soap and warm (cold if it has glued in stones) water. Usually mix the soap in the water and just dip. But I think I may have scrubbed the pendant a bit and one of the small stones fell out. Luckily, I spotted it on the towel I was using to dry them.
I had some craft jewelry glue on hand – bought from a craft store. I simply used a toothpick to apply glue to the hollow and then set the stone back in. I let it dry for 24 hours and my pendant is good as new. I also used this same glue to attach the magnet on the enhancer clasp when it came off. Again, it was an easy repair.
The only issue would be finding replacement crystals, but I’m sure eB*** and other similar sites would have them. Though if Howard could supply those, that would be wonderful!
I have several Emma Skye pieces in my collection now, and I never worry about them. Some stones or magnets may fall out, but it is very easy to repair them yourself, so it’s actually a very easy line of jewelry to own. Plus, the stainless won’t tarnish or turn colors. It’s so nice to be able to wash my hands without taking my bracelets off first!
If you like the design and the price is right, go for it! They are lovely pieces and so much fun to wear!
None of the stones have ever come out of my Emma Skye jewelry but I am also very easy on my jewelry. I treat this jewelry with the same care as all my gold and diamonds and gemstones. I am amazed at the settings on this jewelry!!! Looks like diamonds and platinum!!!
I own the necklace with the charm that has pave crystals. I purchased last year. First of all I was amazed at how the little crystals sparkle. I have had no issues with the charm, Crystals are all in tact. This was my first purchase from Emma Skye. I ordered my second piece yesterday, the popcorn necklace and bracelet set in the gold tone.
Yes. Pave crystals is a plus. I wouldn’t want in on All of my jewlery, but on a few peces it is a Plus.
Emma Skye iis a reproduction of high end jewelry.Like it,but I would not buy anything with glued in crystals.Do women really thinks this is a upgrade? For me it takes away from the beauty of the jewelry.
Jewelme, I just saw a close up and could see the stones set with raised beads which is how traditional pave is set.
Jewelme, Howard would need to comment on exactly how it is manufactured but I want you to know that we stand behind our product. Those stones are secure but should you ever have any problems, you can reach out to us on either our website or Facebook and we will make it right.
Jewelme, I haven’t had any problem with any stone loss…at all. Those stones are pave set…like fine jewelry…side by side…tightly. And they are framed in.
Emma Skye has held up wonderfully for me. I can’t say enough good things about the line. It’s worth a flex play to get the TS home and see it for yourself. It’s a great line!
