Be Jewelry line ?
I would like to know how the Horns are obtain ? Are the cattle slaughterd for the horns ?
I like the line , but please give more info for folks like myself that prefer to avoid a purchase that harms animals for Jewelry . TIA .
“Bé “Sudi” Negative Space Wide Horn Cuff Bracelet
Horns of the African Watusi cattle come in a wide range of colors and patterns. Cut from the widest part of these unusually long horns, this extra-wide cuff bracelet features a center cut-out so your natural skin shade shines through. Handcrafted in Ghana, it comes in tonal patterns as distinctive as the woman who wears it! “
? These cattle are also hunted in the United States, for the sheer purpose of hunting. There is a ranch in Texas that has hunting packages for those who wish to hunt this animal. The Ox Ranch in Texas has these hunting packages.
As ?, indicated most beef is slaughtered for food but this is not the case “all the time.”
Thanks for bringing this up, I was wondering the same thing.
Thank you Ryan . :womanhappy:
Very good question! I found this blurb on on the the descriptions on an older piece:
Bé Multicolored Natural Horn Cuff BraceletMade from the natural horn culled from African Watusi cattle, these beautiful cuff bracelets display a delightful mix of natural colors and patterns. Pick one up today to wear as a single statement piece or to stack with other favorite bracelets. No matter how you wear it, the look is always fashionable and chic!
“Culled” would not necessarly be considered Humane and could easily be abused. It is interesting that the newer items simply say they are “collected” in Ghana.
Maybe a manager can get the real scoop and let us know.
