Are Joy’s T’S Jewelry Boxes anti-tarnish?
I could not find anything about Today’s Special Jewelry Boxes being Anti-Tarnish.
Amy swept her arm over a table she said had 1000 pieces of jewelry on it and claimed all of the jewelry would fit into Joy’s two boxes.
I have a great deal of sterling, vermeil, and even gold can tarnish. A jewelry container that is not lined with anti-tarnish material is essentially useless to me. With the price of gold, so high, many of us are buying vermeil most of the time.
Why would I purchase a jewelry box that can hold hundreds of pieces of jewelry, certainly my entire collection, but that would require me to have to polish my jewelry? Those days are long gone.
I have Joy’s Jewelry boxes and have silver and vermeil jewelry. What I did is keep the tiny plastic bags that came with the jewelry and the little anti-tarnish tags, and just store them like that. HSN also sells Tarnish Tamer Anti-Tarnish Strips 20-pack, 131-890, which you can use.
I would trust only Colleen Lopez’s jewelry boxes. She makes a point to say that they are anti-tarnish! Even the over the door armoire isn’t. Someone on the forums posted that she had her husband line the over the door one with anti-tarnish material!!! Too much work! Just stick with Colleen boxes—I have about 23 of them last count!!!!
i hope that hsn brings these back with an anti-tarnish feature next time. also, the back zippers criss-crossed too much and looked messy. nice from the front though. beautiful colors. xoxo.
Mishkyn~they aren’t ant-tarnish. There was a caller last night who asked her specifically and, Joy kind of gave a quick "no darling, but that’s a thought". Then went on about all the different uses of the boxes.
I know how late it is but, hopefully this helps.
they are not anti tarnish. you’d want to add anti tarnish strips.
