AM I The only HSN customer who did NOT know TECHNIBOND DOES NOT GUARANTEE THEIR JEWELRY???
Called HSN customer service for info where to send my Technibond bracelet for repair. The rep stated unfortunately Technibond does not do repairs and has no stated warranty or guarantee. What??? I was shocked! I have tons of Technibond which I love, and haven’t had any problems with. However recently purchase a Byzantine bracelet and clasp broken second time of wear. Luckily found my bracelet on floor.. Since I can’t get it repaired, HSN offered me a one time "courtesy" return for refund, but now I have to forfeit my bracelet. So glad I didn’t pay orig price of $80 for it. Technibond is nice but it is NOT CHEAP! And on top of that, no guarantee from defects! Because of that…I’m Out! Why would HSN sponsor a jewelry line that does not back up their merchandise??? Anyone else have similar experience??!
I started with HSN over 25 years ago but sorry to say I haven’t watch as much in the last 10 years. HSN has changed so much, i.e., revolving door of hosts and with the merchandise itself (quality issues, sizing issues, cost issues (items cost more but quality has suffered). I have Technibond jewelry pieces from way back that have held up over the new current ones being offered and these older pieces were significantly cheaper. I have several 2-piece jewelry sets purchased many years ago which consist of a necklace and bracelet. Now there are fewer of these type sets being offered and when they do sell some, the price has doubled/tripled (which I understand) but again, the quality has suffered. I only purchase these new pieces now when they are offered at clearance prices but I’ve still had to return some because they just don’t hold up, not made well anymore.
I haven’t bought Technibond in years but I still have many pieces I bought back long ago and they are all still beautiful. It use to have a wonderful guarantee and it was was great quality. The last piece I bought was the newer version and no guarantee and the quality was seriuosly lacking.I am glad to have many of the older pieces.
Somewhere I have their warranty card of where to send the Technibond for repair and I believe it was warranted long, long ago back when they made good products.
However, a few years ago I sent back a piece of jewelry to the address on the card and it was returned as that facility no longer exists.
Too bad, it used to be really good but now I am just not interested due to tarnish and quality so hit or miss, IMO.
Anyone remember the byzantine bracelet, then full necklace and cross enhancer that will fit on necklace? I have the set and it is still just beautiul sitting all alone in their boxes…
Oh, please don’t hate me! Heidi Daus has a warranty:heart: I did not know this
about Technibond lovely jewelry.:womanhappy:
I’m so glad I’ve never purchased any Technibond! Dodged a bullett.
Yeah, sad isn’t it. Technibond is not guaranteed and the quality is not what it use to be. There is no longer the talk on air about 40 mils of gold layers…it tarnishes quickly if not put in some sort of silver safe keeper…my old Technibond is as pretty as the day I bought it…my newer pieces, the last year or two looks awful. I use to buy lots of it. I stopped buying it all together. It’s a shame.
I thought it was guaranteed too. I’m surprised.
