Woodstock Collection on the List – Love, Peace and Rock and Roll
Anyone watch the Woodstock Festival on Colleen Lopez’s The List last night? HSN really had a fun event with a VW van on the set, rock music, and a great collection of Woodstock inspired items. Collen almost cried when she showed the late Carlos Falchi fringe jacket and purses. These were the last items he designed for HSN. Anyone catch who won the $25 gift card and Falchi fringe handbag last night? I enjoyed half the show, but have to get up at 5:25 on weekdays-groan!
Congratulations Charlotte McCaig for winning The List special Woodstock Lyric Collection prize! You are the A list winner for the evening. Happy pinning!
HSN this is a great idea!! I love it:heart:
I thought it was a great show but the name of the winner went right by me. I participated in the Pinterest board but I never do it for the prize, I just like to have fun and get involved during The List. Congratulations to the lucky winner. I appreciate that HSN tries to be creative and present new things, and in this case, old things reseen in a new way. There was clearly a lot of attention paid to the set. But what I really noticed is that Colleen really gets behind whatever she’s asked to do. She offered a lot of enthusiam and personal memories – Minnetonka! I think the ‘in our own back yard’ star was Diane Gillman. Good grief, she ‘lived’ it. She dressed major, MAJOR rock-and-roll stars of that era! So I loved hearing her reminisce. Generally, I can’t say I loved every piece from the entire show – but I think it was for ‘someone,’ just not me. And I actually learned more about Woodstock than I ever knew as they had special guests, including one of the co-founders of Woodstock. A few best-ofs from the show you might have missed include: Minnetonka fringe shoes and boots, Diane’s new take bell bottoms, and, that hat. That hat! It’s a floppy camel-colored hat and when they said that the hippest, chic-est girls at the current festivals are wearing it, they’re right. I actually cover festivals as a journalist and so I know exactly what girls are wearing right now to these events and that soft, camel hat is donned by every guitar/bassist/drummer girlfriend I’ve seen in the last year. It is, in fact, how I can possibly identify her in the crowd. For me that hat is very Carly Simon. The Falchi jacket was iconic, and I would have bought in a heartbeat if my jewelry budget was under control right now. It is absolutely perfect in every possible way.
It was a fun show!
thanks miamicdn! I’ll check out Youtube to finish the show!!
Wasn’t the show so much fun?..many memories from a great era! The winner was Charlotte McCaig.
The Lyric Culture collaboratons with various HSN designers are awesome! I really enjoyed The Rolling Stones show they did previously also…can’t wait for the next collection!
P.S. If you miss The Monday Night Show, Bejeweled, Beauty Report or The List…HSN posts the shows on Youtube :smileyhappy:
I really enjoyed the show I just happen to be wearing my Jimi Hendrix T shirt from a 1969 concert yesterday. I ordered the Woodstock T shirt last night. It was a real blast from the past!!
Treelvr glad to know there are other 60’s flower child gals! The Woodstock festival event on HSN had me singing all my old favorite Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin songs last night, LOL! My husband was teasing me.
I watched it, but missed the gift card & handbag winner. Sorry.
It was awesome recalling Woodstock! My brother was a total hippy and I was a "flower child." What’s funny, is that I still dress like that. Have my Minnetonka’s, bell bottoms and t-shirts. We used to knot the fringe and cut the strips wider, however, than what was shown on the t-shirts being sold. I loved that jacket by Carlos Falchi. It did sell out, but it was too pricey for me anyway. Thanks, HSN, for a nice walk down memory lane. :womanhappy:
