Jacks and Jump Robe. So many good memories playing Jacks all day with my little sister and my girl friends. Hours spent sitting on the ground bouncing the rubber pink ball and picking up Jacks. Laughing and giggling to see who could pick up all ten. Outside or inside on a rainy day. Jump roping outside seeing who could jump the longest. Singing all the fun songs that helped you keep the right beat to jump. Outside on a cold Fall day you would jump for hours just to stay warm. Then mom would bring hot coco out. Such fun memories! How about hop-scotch? And you would look for something to use for your lager…….😍
I loved my Lite*Brite toy. I was 4 years old and loved playing with the pegs to create abstract designs. Not only that but I was afraid of the dark and having the Lite*Brite toy by my bed really helped calm me and my fears. Many thanks to Hasbro for designing this toy and making bedtime a little brighter for a four year old girl.
My two all time favorites were my Atari Video Gaming System and my Barbie Dream House! Both kept me entertained for hours! I always trying to beat my own high score playing pac man! 🙂
I have such fond memories of running down the stairs to find a Suzy Homemaker kitchen under our Christmas tree. I loved that playset and had a wonderful time being the ‘hostess with the mostess’ in my kitchen. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane.
P.S.:) Thank you HSN for the $25.00 gift card:)
I had just received an email on my win!
Good luck everybody:)
The one toy that I loved to play with when I was around 5 or 6 years old was the first Barbie:0
I would play with her and my sister had gotten Midge in their own play house:)
She was the first doll I had ever had with her beautiful swimming suit:)
I loved playing house with Barbie and Midge because they were so fun:)
Remember Its Fun Here!:)
Hi Brett, my favorite toy as a little girl would have to be my Chatty Kathy doll. I had wanted her so badly! Well, my Dad played a trick on me and let everyone else open their presents and I didn’t get her. I can remember that I started to cry. After about 10 minutes he walked into his bedroom and came out with a present. It was my doll! I was never alone with her around. I was so fascinated by being able to pull her string and she would talk to me. She was my company and I carried my baby everywhere. What a great memory after these years.
Hi Brett, my favorite toy of all time, I got as a Christmas present from my oldestsister in the early 1950’s it is a Toni Doll, which came with a Toni Hair permenent . you could give the doll a permenent. I was the youngest of ten children, we did not have much money for a lot of amenities, I wanted the doll so badly that when I went to see Santa I just told him I want a Toni doll, nothing else. I still have the doll to this day with the original clothes on her except for the shoes and socks . I did get other things that year, not many but that was the Best Christmas of my life. Thanks for the Memories Brett, Take Carr AGGY788
Not sure you could call it a toy but, Mom bought me a cardboard record of Melodie D’Amour, my most favorite song when I was about 5 yrs old. It was extra special because she walked me to the drugstore which was about a mile away and yes up the hill!, so I could listen to it on the soda bar jukebox! And as it turned out they had the cardboard record on sale there. I played it over and over and over on the family phonograph!
