One of my very first jobs to pay my way through college was as a security guard, in a big empty warehouse 10 hrs a night, 4 nights a week (Thurs-Sun.). I was the only one there and couldn’t leave not even for lunch (didn’t matter everything on the block was closed and It was forbidden to order food delivery, because the gate would have to be opened).. There were clocks I had to log into every hour to prove I’d made my rounds of the entire bldg. We couldn’t have a Radio or TV because the noise would block the sound of an intrusion. The only place to sit was right in front of the bldg by a large picture window. They put up a folding screen for privacy. There was one desk light and a pay phone on the wall that I could code call if there were any problems and there were alarms all over the place if I had an emergency away from my desk. There was NEVER anyone there. No one ever came or called. I guess I did things right. They requested me to work a different shift for more $$$$$ but I had classes and couldn’t accept. Yeah that had to be the most boring job in the world for me
Congratulations to the 12/11/17 winner, mclaurm!
We asked: What is the most boring thing you’ve ever done?
You answered: Attend a computer class at my former place of employment where the attendees had no computers. All we were given was a manual. We spent 3-4 hours watching the instructors demonstrate the program on their computers via a large screen. Not very informative, and WAY boring!

The most boring thing I’ve ever done happened maybe 20 years ago. I sat through the entire “Titanic” movie twice in a row. So much fun…
Hi Adam, In answer to your question; Waiting at a packed DMV, waiting for your number to be called and hearing that voice; Now serving B36 and the voice keeps coming on over and over but your number is a long ways away. Grueling!!! 🤣
The most boring thing I have done is healing a bone graph. I am non weight bearing for 3 months. I am 6 weeks in and 6 weeks to go. It’s is like watching paint dry. Trying to stay positive.
days of picking paint splatter off of wood with a strait pin
about 2 or 3 years ago I was stuck in the house by myself during a snow storm for about 3 days with no power and all my electronics went dead an the 1st night and I had no portable chargers
Hi Adam the most boring thing I ever did is a great question and I have a great answer for you. On a date, I went to “The Grateful Dead” concert. Even though we had a VIP section, it was the worst thing I have ever been thru. Just not my kind of music. Love watching your Monday night shows – you are so funny and entertaining! Thanks for the question. Tonya Rodgers-Beute (Michigan)
Studying “The Ancient Mariner” in high school lit. My lids get heavy just thinking about it.
The most boring thing I ever had to do is….
Had to have surgery for multiple tears in my meniscus. I had to be at hospital by 1:00 pm. Surgery was at 3:00 pm. In pre-op nurses go home at 3:00 pm. So they told hubby I’d be going in and would call him when out of surgery. Well they wheeled me over to recovery and said should go in shorty
Didn’t know it would be that long, I had to flag a nurse to go to bathroom. Nurse said sorry and put a bed pan. I told a nurse to call hubby and let him know there was a delay.
Well laying there all by myself and no one checking on me and couldn’t do anything.
.finally at 7:00 pm I was wheeled in to surgery. My Dr apologized, stating had a difficult
surgery prior to me. Today Im still recovering from my knee surgery.
That was more than boring ! I couldn’t even sleep while waiting. Man yelling in recovery waking up from surgery.
