Growing up Mom would start cooking a week before. She made turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, macaroni and cheese., baked beans, home made bread, potato salad, green beans with bacon in them, home made Lemon Meringue pie and even more. Anyone who came over was welcome in our home and they would eat too. Start at Noon and eat all day. Oh I almost forgot…she made a ham too. My Mother is 87 years young now and STILL cooks like this. It comes from her West Virginia learning ..Have a Blessed Thanksgiving. ??
