Silver Spot Price NY Close $13.88 per ounce
what a mark up!
HELLO TO ALL :smileyhappy: THANK YOU BOTH FOR THE USEFUL INFO! Just something I thought of…..I ‘KNOW’ HSN has a 30 day return (inspect) policy…..THIS GIVES ‘ME’ (someone who is not as ‘knowledgeable’ as you both) a FEELING OF SECURITY, at the very least! Since I am less informed–how would I even know IF ‘WHAT’ I rec’d from ‘elsewhere’ IS what they say? Like a pawn shop or collector’s shop…. Not nay sayin’ or being negative ….just comin’ from a ‘different’ POV! But, thanks to both of your info…..I feel lil better informed now! :womanvery-happy: …..THANKS! =)
Of course there is a mark-up but you can do one better than HSN for silver prices. Check with your local coin dealers who buy and sell this. I’m sure you can get silver bars for just a bit over the exchange rates, not a retail price plus S&H.
Do some research and save some money and hopefully make some in this market.
Trust me, HSN is NOT the best place to buy these things.
I used to sell jewelry and you are absolutely correct that there is a huge markup. However, one thing you should know is that HSN is still less than a jewelry store and some of the chain department stores. Also, you should know that the price reflected yesterday in gold, silver or any alloy may not reflect the purchase price that HSN paid six months or a year ago when the manufacturer was in the process of producing the bracelet, ring, necklace for us, the customer/consumer
That’s great, Lori. That’s why I keep the things I buy in my favorites until the 30 days pass. It makes it easy to check on whether the price has gone down and I can get a refund.
I’m happy that you noticed the price drop.
And today they are $10.00 lower in price. Now at $29.95! 406-526 And due to HSN’s great pricing policy, both of my robes I’m able to get that $10.00 price difference back onto my HSN credit card. Gorgeous robe!
