Share a story of someone you know who has served our Country
I served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era. Although non-medical women personel did not go to Vietnam at that time, alot of our male friends went – and didn’t come back. I want to thank everyone for the change in attitude toward our men and women in the armed services today. Young people may not know that returning soldiers were spit on and called baby killers. Men and women who go to fight are changed forever, sometimes in ways you can’t see, and deserve our gratitude. I’ve inserted a picture of me during basic training standing in front of the Alamo. I’m in the center. Even my grandkids have never seen this picture. Have you hugged a service person today? Do it, they’ll love it.
What about retired miltary? And miltary family members? Can we enter this contest, too?
Cool idea, but maybe give something to the person in service too?
