HSN CARES – NOMINATE A CHARITY!
HSN sent an email advising their intention to donate $1,000 a day in April to local charities in our communities nominated by us! What a wonderful idea HSN. Thank you for including us in your charitable donation decisions! I will be nominating my local charity choice soon!
I had noimated Horizons Meals On Wheels to feed people that are home bound without transportation to have at least one hot meal a day but I never heard anything frome HSN:)
I had written posts on this organization on posts and no response at all:)
They are voluntaries that work there to help feed 60 years and older:)
But I never heard from them or anybody else:)
I am so happy that nominates you:)
Good luck and May God Bless:)
Peace and love:)
James E. Marshall OCD Foundation who is the only foundation raising money for Genetic Research for OCD which includes autism, anorexia, bulimia, etc. This money would then go to the John’s Hopkins for research.
I think it’s awesome that HSN cares about all the different charities they fundraise for. I was not aware of the 7 April deadline to nominate my favourite charities. Next year I will be sure to watch out for when the charity nominations are going to open to place the organizations of my choice. I, and a younger brother of mine, have Multiple Sclerosis (MS), so The National MS Society would be one of my choices. I have Secondary Progressive MS and am in a wheelchair. My brother has the Relapse and Remittance form of MS and luckily he is not in a wheelchair. I hope with research and breakthroughs, my bother’s MS never advances to the point where he needs to be in a wheelchair.
I would also like to put in my nomination for St. Jude’s Chi!drens’ Hospital since I think they are one of the best charitable organizations out there. The way they help children and their families is truly wonderful and well deserving of a nomination and all the support they can possibly get.
Thanks HSN for caring and supporting the many organizations that are out there helping people in so many beneficial ways!
This is truly wonderful.
Thank you HSN!
Did not know that you needed to nominate before 4/7.
But, ALL The Organizations that have been chosen are Great and really do Make A Difference. HSN, Thank You for caring. ??????
Make A Wish Foundation in Las Vegas, NV. A Wonderful Organization! They Really make Dreams come True!
I filled out a nomination form but am not sure it went through. Is there any way to find out if it went through? Thanks so much!
Hello, everyone! Hope you all had a Happy Easter! Just wanted to remind all of you that time is running out to submit your favorite charity for the HSN Cares $1,000 A Day Giveaway! (Deadline April 7th.) Every penny can make a difference for causes close to your heart! (Just remember, you need to fill out the application – instructions below – as unfortunately, forum posts don’t count.) Good luck! HSN Cares really can help you help others – just like they did for Wellie and me!
I would like to nominate the EJ Autism Foundation. It is a 501 (c) (3) Public Charity. Its mission is to create Autism Awareness and to support programs and schools on Long Island that currently work with children on the spectrum. All donations are tax deductable. Our question mark logo and motto "fight the mystery" are exclusive to the EJ Autism Foundation. Thanks for viewing.
I would like to nominate Shriners Hospital for children. Like St. Jude’s they take care of the family as well as the child and no payment is required. They provide housing and all amenities.
I am proud to nominate The William S. Baer School Partnership Board in Baltimore. The Baer School is a hidden Baltimore gem nestled within the City. They serve children ages 3-21 with severe and profound cognitive and physical disabilites. These children face a host of challenges, yet they come to school daily ready to work hard, smile and tackle their goals. The schools serves 177 students and offeres full educational services, plus ocupational, speech, audiological and physical therapy. Miracles happen at Baer all the time! This school is a gift to the community.
The Baer School Partnership Board was established in 1994 and is a separate 501© 3 non-profit organization whose membership consists of local community leaders, educators, and business people. The mission of the Board is to raise additional funds to support the special needs of our students that canot be met by the School System and to secure volunteers for the school. All money raised by the Partnership Board goes directly to meeting the therapeutic needs of the children. The Board has installed a warm water therapy pool onsite, renovated the cafeteria, purchased various pieces of adaptive equipment and sponsors vocational training field trips off campus. The Board helps take the students’ education above and beyond so these special kids can foster more independence. $1,000 would purchase more equipment that would help our students communicate and learn more efficiently. It could make such a difference!
Thank you so much for doing this! I would like to nominate Sunlight Home in Naples,
FL which is a home for women of all ages who need help and a place to stay during their pregnancy. Sunlight provides a Christian, caring environment with resources to help women with whatever they need from education to job opportunities. Sunlight home.org. For more information
Thank you HSN for giving back to our communities. I am proud to be an HSN customer. I completed my application earlier today and submitted a photo of my hubby and sons doing volunteer work for our favorite charity. By setting the example, we hope we have taught our kids that they have to give back to the community. We make it a family affair and have a lot of fun. Thank you again HSN
