We asked: Have you ever accidentally ended up in the wrong place?
You answered: Adam…. in our high school, the bathrooms were called “courts” (I don’t know why). But I certainly remember accidentally going in to the Boys’ Court. Luckily, the boys’ backs were all I saw. Oh my! I still get teased about it now, 40 years later.

One day starting a new job at a clients house, I set my GPS with the right address, but there was a new road that wasn’t completed……needless to say I have had a good talk with my GPS and it hasn’t happened again…..lol……
The most funniest thing happened to me when I was working at an amusement park when I was a teenager. I was in a rush to go to the bathroom and I ran right into a stall real quick. As I exited the stall, I noticed two girls combing their hair and just talking and looking at me. I walked up to the sinks and started to wash my hands. I then noticed the noise level started to get quieter and quieter and everybody started to stare at me. As I was drying off my hands with a paper towel, I then realized where I was. Instead of going to the Men’s bathroom, I was in the Women’s bathroom. I never saw the “WO” letters on the door. I was so embarrassed and could only say “Oh My God!!” and I ran out of the bathroom to the employee lounge. I was so humiliated at that point and just wanted to go home. Now some 30 years later, it was the most funniest thing that has ever happened to me when I accidentally ended up in the wrong place.
Downtown Dallas, at night, trying to get back to the hotel.
Took a wrong turn, ended up in a not very nice area.
Ignoring my wife’s suggestions, then ended up staring at Big Tex
in front of an empty state fair ground.
Wife trying hard to stifle her laughter. As a life long Texan and
proud defender of my sense of direction, she won that one.
Yes, On an interview many years ago. Little did I know my Manager worked two jobs, and I left worked early, and applied for a receptionist position, and out he came introducing himself smiling saying, Oh I did not know you were leaving our employ.
I was much younger working in N.Y. City, I was not as responsible as I should have been back then, being flighty I would not stay on a job too long. Well, it finally caught up on me. I left myjob, little did I know that m y manager also worked in an employment agency. To My surprise, There I was waiting to be interviewed , never mentioning where I worked with him. He came in at the end of the interview, and was I ever embarrassed, after all, I did not even give m y notice where I we worked with him. Embarrassing. Bobie54
While travelling through Europe I found myself in the men’s room a few times by mistake!
We were in Montclair, NJ traveling to Philadelphia, PA. My husband put me in charge of the GPS and routing. When we ended up in Delaware, I lost my job as co-pilot. I was replaced by someone younger who understood electronics better -my teenager!
The men’s bathroom at the Atlanta International Airport. The hard part wasn’t going in, I realized my mistake immediately and turned on a dime. The hard part was coming out. There is a whole row of chairs facing the bathroom and everyone sitting there saw me go in. They were all looking up waiting on me to come out. I stuck my head around the corner first and waved at them and they laughed at me. So I just came on out and quick walked over to the ladies room.
Without a GPS and with my husband at the wheel, we are surely bound to end up in the wrong place. I no longer get in the car with said husband without the GPS in hand. Works all the time.
Yes, more than a few times, pre gps in phones and in cars, if I had to drive somewhere that I wasn’t familiar with, I would get lost. Once we had a Meeting for work in wine country and we drove to a Vinyard for lunch after, well I had no idea where it was, and after a bunch of people telling me to turn here and then there, I got lost. I did somehow manage to get there though.
Being “snowbirds,” we were on our way from cold country to our home in Florida. We used a GPS to get us to our first stop in Virginia. Only problem, the GPS put us on Pennsylvania Avenue in DC and a one way road. To make matters worse she stopped working until somehow or other we found I=95 and finally made it to the hotel. Consequently, we now use a different route.
