Will my order/account be deleted? QVC vs HSN
Hi guys I’m new to the boards to ask an important question. QVC will not let me shop with them what so ever because I have a relative who has a delinquent account with them. I found this to be absolutely LUDICROUS, however I have no way of controlling this. My question is, will I be able to shop with HSN without the fear of being punished because of my relatives now that the two companies have merged? This said relative does not have a history with HSN and was hoping to do some of my Christmas shopping here but I now fear that HSN will also punish me for their history with QVC. I appolgize in advance if this thread already exists or if this isn’t the correct place for the thread, I’m quite new to message boards.
Welcome to the forums Alexannee! You shouldn’t have any problems ordering from HSN. They operate as an entirely separate entity from the Q.
That will depend on if your relative lives with you. HSN and QVC will not allow someone to order from them if someone at that address was delinquent and owns them money. Doesn’t matter that you are 2 different people. The company looks at the address and if there was a problem getting payment tied to YOUR ADDRESS, you will be blocked from ordering as both HSN and QVC will block from shipping anything to an address where someone living there owes them money.
I don’t agree with this policy as the company can easily verify who the party is that didn’t pay but I’ve seen people complain on these boards they are prevented from ordering because someone else who lives at their address owes money.
Hello, I have shopped with HSN & Qvc for yrs. I Love them both. About one yr. ago a got a letter from HSN telling me that I can no longer order from them. I was shocked. It was not because I did not pay my statements on time, or because of my Great credit. It was because they said I returned too many items, I never wore or washed anything I bought, I tried it on if it did not fit I put it back in the bag & sent it back before the 30 days. it was always sent back in the condition it was received in. I received several items from HSN that I know had been sent to someone else before me. I could tell by the way it was folded, the tissue paper would be all wrinkled, but I never complained about it, if the item fit & I liked it I would wash it first & wear it. I NEVER sent back anything like that. There was so many things that I loved from HSN, I bought several Wolfgang Puck items, I can not buy at all now. Will they ever change there mind. Even one of the people from the bank that holds their credits cards called them while we were on a 3 way call & told one of the head men at HSN how good my credit was & always paid on time, but he would not change his mind. Why do the Hosts say if you do not like it or does not fit return it. If they do this to you.I would LOVE to be able to buy from them again. Is there any way to get around it?? Thank You For Any Help Any One Can Give Me.
VelveteenRabbit7, I believe you are incorrect when you state they operate entirely separate. I received a letter just last week from the Q. They stated I have canceled 12% of my orders that I placed and then cancelled. I have not placed anything from the Q. they stated this was between 01/19 through 03/1/19. These are orders that I placed on a day and then changed my mind and reordered in a different size or color. i.e. Diane Gilman or Marla Wynne etc. You know when you order before you leave for work that day and then return that evening and watch the video and it then states to size down or size up and you need to reorder, well they suggested that I “Watch their on-air presentations and check out the .com for product information and details before ordering. They indicated that my order cancellations have an impact on other
QVC customers as well as their business. . I have not done business with the Q since the first of the year so I don’t know what they are talking about so I called them and they indicated it has to deal with not only the Q, but HSN. So they sent me this in referral of both the Q and HSN. But I did not know that you could not change your mind once you placed an order as long as you cancelled it that day. But you know how the sizing can be different once you view several different showings. I am now where I just want to go local and purchase my clothing line. If you cannot change your mind before you have it sent out, I don’t want to pay for return shipping.
You should not have any problem . HSN and QVC are not the same company and they have not merged . They are owned by the same company, They operate as two independent businesses .
I know they sell some of the same brand on each but that does not mean they have merged . For example, HSN sells Lancome products so does Sepora , JC Penneys , Belks and many other venues,
