Why no smiles in "Talk Among Yourselves"
HSN, what is your reasoning for not putting smiles in this forum? If someone starts a conversation in another forum, even if it is totally off topic, I can leave them a smile if they help me. Here if someone helps me, I can’t smile at them. I don’t understand all the nuances of the forum, but I thought a smile was to say you think the same thing or to say ‘that helps’. Maybe I’m mixed up on my manners? Just need some clarification.
Most any time you see some strange prohibition or restriction that seems to be not necessarily making much sense, you are looking at the fallout of something that went bad in the past.
Just hypothetically, imagine you had a group of people who were, in that hypothetical world, overly concerned with getting more smiles than another bunch of people (or perhaps one person specifically) and also did not like that other person or a group. So then ponder how TAY is much broader in scope and even used to include politics and what opportunities for collective wrassling that could hypothetically provide….
On the other hand, this question was asked in the past. It might not be a bad idea to check what was posted before about this.
Thanks Candace for the help on this topic. I understand what you have said but wish we could post smiles on TAY.:womanvery-happy:
Hello , we’re glad you are active in all the Community topics and that you receive and likely offer help in the conversations. For the time being, the Community is set up with product, broadcast, digital and service related topics to which smiles (likes, helped, kudos) can be attached to a post and can be accumulated by members. The TAY topic is for everything else, not necessarily related to HSN, and as such, smiles are not built into the rating system. I hope this explanation makes sense.
