Why can’t Diane Gilmans’s Super Strech jeans be put into a clothes dryer?
Has anyone ever put her jeans into a clothes dryer and if so what were the results?
I never dry my clothes entirely in the dryer. I dry them only for a short time and hang them to dry completely.
I would appreciate any advice.
I put my in the dryer and haven’t had a problem. I don’t buy anything that I can’t machine wash and dry. I didn’t know they are line dry. Nevertheless, I’ve been completely drying my DG2 jeans for years and will continue to do so. However, what works for me might not work for you, I’d hate to hear you ruined your jeans because of my advice.
Not sure. I bought a pair recently of her boot leg stretch jeggings and oh were they horrible! They are supposed to make you look slim. Haha! They had that big strech band and I thought they would be comfortable and make me look slimmer. Made me look like I was pregnant and my rear end was hanging down. LOL! They went back! My cheaper jeans will do just fine.
I just posted my question in fashion as you suggested. Thank you
I don’t wear DG2 but 2 years ago I made the mistake of putting an expensive pair of jeans with spandex in the dryer. It totally destroyed the jeans. They no longer held their shape and bagged out everywhere especially the waist and the knees after about 5 minutes of wear. I now use those jeans to shovel snow, yard work, etc.
Thanks. I will definitely do what you suggested, posting this question in Fashion. I really appreciate your help. I will do this probably tomorrow.
Actually, it occurs to me that you should re-post this in Fashion. Because Talk Among Yourself threads do not show on the Community page, and maybe that’s why ayou are not getting enough responses. So yeah, repost this in the Fashion forum, so many posters here actually tried the jeans!
Theoretically, spandex can get ruined and you may wind up with mis-shapen jeans weirdly gigantic in odd places. I do not own Diane’s jeans because she cuts them too short in the rise for me, so can’t tell about her stuff.
On occasion, I machine dry my CSC and Slinky clothes with spandex in them and nothing happens; but it is not something that manufacturers recommend.
