when buying clothes
hsn custmers please’ when you buy clothes please leave the tags, cards on the jacket, coat, suite, sweater do’ not” remove them! you leave them on you try them on with the instructions on because if your returing it or them you must leave the instrhction card or instruction pamplet on so hsn can resell it and the next customer isnt recieveing a REJECT!. I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF RECIEVING RETURNS THAT ARE REJECTS. ALREADY USED. What hsn and all mail orders should do’ if you cut off the instruction on how to care for the items and then send them back while you still have the care instructions and the next customer recieves it without it, then the mail ordering companys will send it bsck to you for keeps and you still have to pay for it.why must you remove the instruction in the first place? doesn’t it make plain” human sence” to leave the care indtructions on while trying it on and if you need to send it back there still attached to the clothing? so that hsn can resell still brand new?
I wonder if sometimes people might wear the clothing to an event & then return it? I know some stores have a restocking fee for that reason. Just as you ladies do, I try the item on with all the tags attached & if it doesn’t fit or look right I package it up the best I can & fold everything neatly with the tissue enclosed & return it within the next day or two. My grandmother always taught me that common courtesy doesn’t cost a cent & I have done my best to live my life by the values she instilled in me from a child up. I sure do miss my Nana
I can completely agree about the removal of the “care” tags in clothing but sorry ladies you are absolutely INCORRECT regarding wearing of clothing purchased through the shopping channel… any of them.
Customers have the absolute right to wear the garment whether it be a shirt, pants, coat, or shoes of any kind. That is the purpose of customers having the 30 day return policy. How long have any of you been shopping via a home shopping channel or their websites? Any host when presenting on all the networks have stated and continue to state that we the customer can wear the garment or use an item and if we are not 100% satisfied, we may return it within 30 days from the date on the invoice. It’s not about just trying the garment on, they give us time to wear it and see how we like it or if it works or not.
Call the customer service department of any home shopping channel and they will tell you that. When purchasing from a department store, however, this rule or policy does not apply.
The home shopping channels are NOT suppose to ship and used garment out to a customer as new. The only time that can be done is if the information on the website with the garment states “AS IS” and then and only then can a used garment be sold.
This information is easily verified.
I agree with you as well. I never remove tags when trying on an item. If I have to return an item I pack it back up as best I can as it was originally shipped. It is just rude when people wear items and try to return them afterward.
I agree. I always return an item carefully folded with tissue paper or cardboard in correct place. I treat the return as if one of my friends in the forums is the next recipient. I received an item from the Frenzy sale rolled up in a ball and stuffed in a plastic bag. This wasn’t the item shifting during shipping either. I don’t believe the shipping department even checked the item before sending out to me. I am keeping the item since I need to wash before wearing, but it ruins the shopping experience.
Eww, that’s just gross. 🙁
Makes me suspect that these folks are actually wearing things once or more and then returning them, not just trying them on to see if they fit, etc. Welcome to our world of thoughtless people.
