The School System Failed Us All!
I was taught that anything .5 or more, you round up but clearly not when you’re in sales. An item priced at, $99.98 is “under” a hundred dollars not to mention tax and/or shipping which would place the item over…however, if they are comparing a competitor’s pricing…the competitions price is, $99.98 and the HSN’s price is 89.98 the sales person would then say, our competitors price is, $100.00. How rude to think your customers are dimwits. Saying the “true” price of an item will not deter sales.
