SUPERVISOR on Pics/Images/Links
Since I am not getting any assistance here, I just got off the phone with an HSN Customer Service Supervisor. Her advice to me was to follow the Moderator’s instructions to report every post linking to an outside site. I said that I can’t do that. It’s not right. She was surprised that I did not want to comply. She suggested I create a conversation on the Community about my situation. Here it is.
@kemiqueen, @florida3216, @cupatea – In the HSN Community, you can upload your photos that are hosted on another site. This means the photo itself is displayed here in the HSN Community, not a link to your gallery on the image hosting site. Links to sites other than HSN will be removed. If you see links to external sites posted here, you can report the posts and the moderation team will review and take action. We are working to bring you all an image upload experience similar to what you used before. In the meantime, we recommend giving fbn135’s steps a try by going here
@sikylar – You might be subscribed to one or more Forums, which is different from Topic subscriptions.
We’ve identified a possible issue unsubscribing to a Forum via IE and Firefox; we recommend trying Chrome.
I agree the Community is not what it use to be. I like to check in but do not like to receive them individually on my e-mail. Today I have already received 6 e-mails on individual subjects. I have tried to unsubscribe and unchecked to receive follow ups. Never subscribed and never received these e-mails with old community. Somethings wrong!!
Does anyone know who is operating “The Community” like Arkadium runs “The Arcade”?
Any knowledge would be helpful. Thanks. 🙂
@florida3216, HSN runs both the Community and the Arcade. The Mods moderate both. Although I have not seen the amount of moderating being done like they used to.
Arkadium is the company that HSN buys, rents, or leases the games from. Akadium sells, rents, leases games to bunches of websites like Pogo and Aarp also. And there are other companies like Arkadium.
There is the Arcade team which I believe work for HSN not Arkadium. But they dont actually come to the community or arcade to read, or talk to players. You have to send them emails or go to help #37 to get their help.
Hey @trekky. Thanks for your reply. I was told today different that Arcade is not run by HSN
employees. Was not sure about Community. But you very well are right. 🙂 At this point who knows
because no one has an answer on anything these days! 🙂
This is the email I submitted to 5 different HSN email addresses:
HSN Community Manager,
What are the Community Guidelines for posting HSN related pictures, images and links? Can a photo storage site like Photobucket, One Note, One Drive, etc. be used to post Community members’ HSN related pictures, images and links?
Members have always enjoyed posting visuals! On the old format, we could directly upload images that were stored on the Community site. On the new format, unfortunately, a personal photo storage site is required.
I posted links to screenshots of the HSN webpage today, but a Moderator removed them and said I was going against guidelines. I do not understand.
Members have been posting images/links to images and even tutorials on how to do so. The Moderators have acknowledged this and let these posts stand, so what have I done wrong?
How should we post images going forward? I cannot get clear answers on the Community CS forum or the other HSN forums.
My Community friends and I would like to continue to post photos wearing our HSN purchases, as well as other shopping related images.
