Student in Need, please HELP!!!!!!!!
I am a CSU Stanislaus student in Turlock, CA. It is a small town many might not know of it, which is not surprising at all. Well I am conducting a case study on HSN the company and I would merely like to ask a few questions.
- Why chose HSN for shopping needs?
- What has been your best experience with the company?
- What do you love and dislike (if there is something to dislike) about the compnay?
There is no right or wrong answer, I would just greatly appreciate your input. This is so I may get a better understanding of the company, and how these things contribute to its success.
Thank you for your time,

!- HSN sells great merchandise
2-Their CS is awesome, I seldom have any problems or concerns but the times I need assistance the Customer Service was on target!
3- I love the ease of shoppng HSN online ( practically the ONLY way I shop… hate brick and mortar shopping)
One of the few things that I dislike is the present arcade it is useless to me — I am here to shop not to play . In the past I love the arcade spin to win for the discount coupons that I USED tto shop -the reason I am here . Nowadays it is awarding tickets to enter a CHANCE to win something of HSNs choosing . Some folks love the arcade so it is just my view . I am not a gamer , I am here to shop.
Not sure why this thread is still here. HSN pulled at least 2 of his many threads begging for help.
But since HSN has not come out and said that this guy has their permission to do this and since HSN has not come out and said that they have checked this guy out and he is doing legitimate research, then I will not give any of my personal info away.
And how I shop is personal info!

Even though you are a student, I think at CSU you might need to do the IRB forms for this type of research; especially so if you are a Grad student. Also, you really need to get at least some demographic info in there somewhere.
I wonder if HSN would let you post on their Facebook page; you could also try Twitter for your recruitng. That way you could link to your forms and to a more secure way of collecting the data.
Personally, I started shopping on HSN for a very simple reason: I am fat and short and there is little in physical stores that accommodates my dressing needs. When I started shopping on HSN in about 2004, they always had petite plus sizes (=short). They also carried two lines that made stretchy clothes that I fell in love with. These gorgeous stretchy garments are incredibly easy to wear, require little care and maintenance, do not wrinkle, and look great no matter what. They hide fat rolls and they come in pretty colors. So I got comepletely hooked. I still remember my first outfit from Slinky Brands, with a cardi/jacket thing from Maggie Sweet – I went to pick my kid up from his buddies’ house and he looked at me and said "Mom, you look like you have a TON of money!’ So I got hooked. I have all these phenomenal interesting unusual clothes, all of which are so pretty and so flattering!
And then they had these fantastic sales. One time, a whole bunch of items went down to just $1 and some to $3 or so. I still have gorgeous leather and suede jackets by Terru Lewis that I picked up for $20.
Then I got also hooked on costume jewelry that HSN sells. It is fabulous!
Unfortunately HSN discontinued two of my most favorite lines (Maggie Sweet and CSC) and stopped carrying petite sizes with rare exceptions.
Thank you all for your contributions, it is appreciated.
