STANDING AGAINST STRUGGLES
So many here have shared their own struggles, heartaches and disappointments. Did you know that by sharing these issues is always an encouragement to others? It’s the realization that others care and we’re not alone in the midst of whatever the struggles may be. There are many days I feel (and I’m sure MANY of you do too) that I take "three steps forward then two steps back". However, in that equation, we’re still ONE STEP AHEAD! This may sound strange to some, but, I often look at myself in the mirror and remind myself "take ONE more step". I want to SEE those positive words come out of my mouth and it lets me know my ears have heard what my mouth has just said. This is something I learned while in Rwanda (June 1994…look it up if unfamiliar with what took place). However, it’s something that has stayed with me all these years. Is it always easy? Of course not. There are times we need to be our own "cheerleader"…in spite of what may be going on around us or the negativity that tries to invade our lives…never forget we’re stronger together than apart. You ladies are awesome!:womanhappy:
Speaking of standing against struggles, I ordered a pair of espadrilles from Toms shoes yesterday! I’d never heard of that company before yesterday evening. When I watched the show, I thought it was a wonderful, inspirational company. I was so happy to have found it. I really feel good that my purchase has now brought a child in need a pair of shoes. I can’t wait to get my shoes! ?
I wrote this post days ago. However, I had no clue what was going to happen during my follow-up visit after surgery. My appointment was yesterday, Monday March 28. Suffice it to say, it didn’t go the way I had hoped and anticipated. Yet, coming online and reading through so many post on numerous threads…many of us are( or have) recently been experiencing struggles of varying degrees. Just the thought of not being alone in the midst of these issues are an encouragement. I still say, we’re stronger together than apart!:heart:
Dear Lady4Peace; I am sorry your follow up visit did not go as hoped. But with each passing day I pray you heal and become stronger. Stay positive as this to shall pass. You are awesome!
You will get through this. Hang in there.:womanhappy:
I enjoy reading your posts.
BLESS YOU LADYFOR PEACE YOU ARE SO RIGHT
I just found out last night a couple friends (from out of state) are coming out here to help! They’ll be here by Thursday…and stay a few days. When I took the call and heard what was said, I really didn’t know what to say. It was obvious I was beyond grateful. When I hung up, I began to cry. To think that they are driving over 700 miles to help for a few days was something I never could have imagined. As stated above it seems I take "three steps forward and two steps back" at times. With their help, it’ll be "three steps forward"…and no steps back (at least for a few days).:heart::heart:
How is your arm/hand doing?
Just found your note today and yes I remember Rwanda. Such encouraging words and thank you for sharing. We all have our struggles, but it’s how we decide to live with them, i.e. bitter or better? This is a conscious choice we all have to make concerning life’s ups and downs. Having encountered some that choose ‘bitter’ I know that is not the path I want to take.
Thanks again for your words of wisdom of taking one step at a time…
Sending you healing energy and prayers. You are quite the Lady!
