Shannon Fox is still there
Since I watch late at night, she is on a lot. I don’t know her personally, but I find her AWFUL as a show host.
Between the little girl voice (my daughter referred to it as a fairy voice!), her non stop talking and ooohing and ahhhing over everything, I just don’t watch her. Why should a customer have to mute the channel when watching?
She is better with her overall knowledge and more comfortable, but doesn’t HSN realize how annoying her voice is? Can she learn to speak like an adult? Love how she poses with her secksy shoes too (not!).
We get Helen Keany’s non stop babbling and laughing and Shannon Fox talking like a 10 year old. Is this all the late night viewers are worth?????
I agree 100%. She is annoying to listen to. I don’t watch HSN nearly as much as I used to, but listening to Shannon and Helen are like fingernails on a chalkboard. There are many hosts or vendors who are annoying. Too many to list. I agree with Vonnie, the hosts on QVC speak in a more normal voice which is appealing to me.
I watch the early am shows when I don’t have to work until late evening the next day. I agree with all of you that some of the hosts can do with some speech refinements, but despite the many complaints, nothing is being done. I suppose as long as the quota of sales is reached for those hours, HSN won’t change their hosting line-up. I like QVC hosts, they speak in well-modulated tones and do not babble incessantly. I doubt that Shannon’s kittenish voice, nor Amy’s gutteral accent will change.
On Shannon’s shoes posing, I noticed that all of the women hosts began doing that some time back, putting one foot in front of the other, when standing, and in a slanted direction, similar to shoe models. My conclusion is that the hosts were made to attend some kind of in-house seminar on how they should stand.
UGH she was just on presentationg YBF with Stacey!! I couldnt watch!! LOVE YBF
Daisy, it seems like you and I are the only ones watching HSN in the wee morning hours! Otherwise, I’d think since HSN is in the merchandising business they’d be concerned about the dissatisfaction of non-prime time customers. Why bother having ANY programming in the early morning?? Save production costs, get rid of annoying hosts, and just put on a slide show of items online that people might not be aware of. I’d prefer that and Muzak playing (annoying elevator music) to current programming!
