Shame on HSN shippping
I ordered 2 Perlier gift sets on 12/15 with promise they would be delivered by Christmas – well I called HSN and they are blaming USPS and Perlier for a delivery date 3-4 days after Christmas. All I got when I called HSN was sorry and they offered a refund which I declined as I still wanted the items. I did not order these items from Perlier or the USPS! I orderd them from HSN.
This is a pattern with HSN as the last time I ordered items they arrived 3-4 weeks later! That time they blamed their warehouse.
I will make sure that this issue is posted on other on-liine websites, If you continue to not advise people when you are selling items on air and on line that you screw up on shipping and delivery then HSN is only to blame.
Did your package come via mail innovations? Mail innovations uses UPS to pick the package up and then UPS delivers it to USPS! I guess this is supposed to save money, but it seems to take more time. I had this same situation happen to me with other vendors. The vendor promises you package to arrive by a certain date, but it seems this only applies to UPS.
Once the post office receives it they decide how soon to ship. I’m not sure if this is what happened to you or not. You can tell by the tracking number IF the post office updated it which they don’t do half the time! I had SEVEN packages promised to me by the 22nd. I placed all my orders in plenty of time, and the vendor was quick to get it to UPS. Once UPS got it to the post office (USPS) it sat there for over a week in some cases! Items that were guaranteed by the 22nd was not received until the 27th -29th!
Yes, this is USPS’s fault for letting it sit, but I blame the vendor for choosing the mail innovation option instead of just relying on UPS and not letting USPS get involved in the delivery.
Even if this is not what happened to you in this situation, keep in mind it could happen on future shipments if vendors choose the mail innovation delivery. Hope this helps!
If I remember correctly, HSN mentioned that you could select a faster shipping experience if you so wish for an additional fee. It is not entirely HSN’s fault. You need to remember that there are other retail sites on the web that also use UPS, USPS, FEDEX, etc. for shipping purposes. There were thousands and thousands of packages that needed delivery and it’s amazing that the items were not lost in transit. The mistake that HSN makes is that they are unable to really keep tabs on their shipments and to tell you that there is nothing they can do for at least 10 days. Another mistake is for their hosts to mention that they guarantee delivery before Christmas. I also do not understand why a package sits for three to six days in one location and when you call the delivery people they have no idea either, but, your package somehow is expedited and on your doorstep in a matter of days. You also need to look at weather conditions going from Point A to Point D (destination). Did the weather, highway problems, fires, etc. impact delivery. Remember that once your item leaves the warehouse, it is no longer HSN’s responsibility, though, I feel, they should be able to check where the package is and to be able to notify the buyer (their customer) if there are any problems. Hopefully, all your packages arrived safely and in one piece. Enjoy.

I just posted this. I just got off the phone with ups and HSN. on the 15 I orders simply ming endunction with free frypan and the 16 the hot head 6 in one leopard hat and they were to be here tomorrow but HSN screed there customer’s. ups told me because HSN chose three to seven regular business days ground is why there not being delivered until December/27 for simply .ming and hot head the 29. all HSN customers are screed for there poor choisese. if they had chose a different method, ups said they would be. here sooner. I orders the 6 in one hat on the 16 and HSN only shipped it yesterday out of California and chef ming endunction witch is why the late delivery so it’s not ups or perlier it’s HSN there self. they waited a week to ship them. HSN never owns up to there mistake s they make instead they blame the warehouses, ups. they should shipped them right away. you will not get them by Christmas eve. I know your anger and and being fed up with hsn me too.
