Serious Memorial Day question
Is every person who has died in service to our country, a hero?
We toss around a lot of words in our world, today…and I’m just wondering what you all think.
It’s like the lottery. Many are called few are chosen. LOL Just keep using your tickets to "buy" chances for the sweepstakes. Hopefully you win soon.
RACHEL64 – THANK YOU. I THANK GOD FOR YOU, YOUR DADDY AND ALL OTHER HEROES. YOUR RESPONSE BLESSED ME GREATLY. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL OF YOUR FAMILY. HOW SWEET OF YOU TO RESPOND.
Your Daddy was not only YOUR Hero…he was Everyone’s Hero!
There is no higher calling than to serve your country…and to protect the rights and freedoms we are all blessed to enjoy. Anyone who served our country…died in service TO our country…came home disabled BECAUSE of that service…or was lucky enough to return to our soil unharmed…is truly nothing short of a Hero..
My father was one of two in his troop to survive during the Invasion of Normandy. He was left for dead, and then rescued. He lived the rest of his life with horrible injuries…both visible and invisible. All for the protection he gave to this country…and…his injuries haunted him for the remainder of his life…both in physical…and emotional pain.
My father was also a Hero, as was yours…and anyone who claims they have a ‘higher’ standard towards heroism… should revisit the annals of history…and how and why we have all the glorious freedoms, and are still the greatest country in the world…and…who the men and woman were who sacrificed and made it all possible!!!
Bless you, your family, and…your father, Snoopster. He was truly an American hero indeed!!!
MY DADDY WAS MY HERO. HE SERVED IN WW1 & DIED WHEN I WAS 6 AS A RESULT OF WW2 – HAD NO CHOICE – HE WAS DRAFTED. LEFT BEHIND A POOR BROKEN-HEARTED WIDOW & 2 BROKENHEARTED SMALL KIDS. TO ME ANYONE WHO SERVES IS A HERO. I’D NEVER DO IT, BUT AM SO GLAD THERE ARE THOSE WHO DID AND ARE. GOD BLESS THEM ALL!
These are the heros…but I think anyone that died in service for our country are heros.
And you’re right…it’s MEMORIAL Day…not VETERAN’S Day.
Do you notice how some people are thanking vets for their service today??
It’s not Veteran’s Day…it’s Memorial Day. It’s all about those who died fighting for our country. Mostly corporations doing this…it’s so lame.
If you don’t know the difference between holidays, you should just be quiet.
Not necessarily. But they did die while serving for us. That is big enough for me.
In my eyes Yes! Because they were part of the team! (U.S.A.)
This is a loaded question.
