I have to say that I think it’s very poor of HSN from keeping a customer from writing a review for a certain amount of time. They say it’s too early to review a product, but that’s just baloney. I received my Heidi Daus TSV necklace today and it does not lie flat on my neck. The resin part does, but the center piece pops up and it looks bad. Beautiful necklace, flawed construction. I wanted to see if others had this problem but no reviews yet, of course, since no one else is able to write a review. In the meantime, if this is a problem, it allows people to continue ordering. What a bizarre rule. HSN – are you hoping I will just return this and forget about writing the review? Ridiculous. Let your customers write their reviews and let other consumers take them for what they’re worth!
I prefer HSN’s policy on reviews over other shopping sites that allow reviews from people who haven’t even purchased the item. And I like a review from people who have actually given the product a try for more than a minute before they state they love it or hate it.
For instance, I love the Joan Boyce bracelet I received today, but if it breaks tomorrow, I may not love it so much.
I did not know HSN had this policy. I’ve seen so many reviews where people say they haven’t received the product or just got it and will review it later. Silly to waste the review space and the time of the rest of us reading the reviews. Maybe this policy was instituted to change this practice.
I can see having a wait period of beauty items to give the product time to work or not work.
Other items would be included in this for instance cooking items to give the purchaser a chance to use just say pressure cooker and see if they like it, or if it’s not what they expected, or if there is a problem with it.
. I either hold onto the email telling me to review or like Southernlights said go in once a month and write reviews. Ohhhhh speaking of which guess I’d better do that now. LOL
You can bypass that wait time and get the word out by posting about it on the forums here under the jewelry subject. I check this forum too if I have issues, to see what others say.
Agree! There are many threads about this and have been over the years, asking HSN to please reconsider this policy. It holds up reviews for people waiting to purchase. A customer may have an unopened box after two weeks — how can HSN verify a customer’s experience with a shipment? It’s a silly rule with negative consequences for both customers and HSN.
Hsn should learn from Amazon. The most accommodating place to shop- period !
I agree with you as it has happened to me too. I usually know tout de suite whether I like a product or not. I do not need days to figure it out ! I forgot to post the review later! It should be changed.
Once again, I understand your explanation but I think it’s simply not true. Makes very little logical sense Just my opinion.
Hello Worthington, I’m sorry the necklace does not sit the way you expected. We have a wait time on reviews to ensure that people have an ample amount of time to try out a product before providing feedback. I do hope you will share your comments for the item once you are able. Don’t forget, you can always reach out to other shoppers here on the forums. For this item you would want to post on the Fashion & Jewelry board.
