QVC’S TSV TIMES….
I HEARD SOMETHING BRIEFLY THAT THEY ARE EXTENDING THE PURCHASE TIMES TO ACCOMMODATE CALIFORNIA SHOPPERS. I’M GOING TO CALL THEM & FIND OUT HOW IT WORKS, BUT THOUGHT I’D PASS IT ALONG BEFORE I FORGET…. I’M HOPING IT MEANS WE ALL HAVE MORE THAN 24 HRS TO PURCHASE TSV’S. MAKES SENSE TO ME…
QVC only as far as I know.??
Is that only QVC, or HSN – the site you are posting on?
Yes, that was my experience, I guess maybe I did not explain it very well. I also live in central time and was able to purchase the TSV late, it may have even been 1am my time. It’s just that I would not have known it was a possibility if it had not been for that 2nd channel. Also I think if I had called in the order it would have gone off without a hitch it’s just ordering online that posed the problem. Maybe fixing that glitch online and actually overlapping it on the main channel so that everybody can see that the previous day’s TSV is still available are some of the new changes so that everyone will know about it and be able to take advantage of it as an overlap rather than after the fact, so to speak. That really is a huge time difference especially for those on the west coast. Great job getting that info. I hope lots of people see your post, they will appreciate it.
Vickie74 (lucky) has gotten to take advantage of that virtually unknown policy for a while!?? also thanks for that FYI, I had no idea about that.
QVC has been doing this for quite some time. A couple of years at least. I live in CT time zone and can shop for the TSV until 1:59am CT the following day. That can be useful as many times the size or color in a clothing item is so sold out you can’t even waitlist it. A lot of times after midnight, people will cancel their order so I can usally either waitlist it or purchase the item outright.
FYI – Unlike HSN, if a TSV becomes available the next day, but after the price has increased, you can call CS, give them the TSV price and they will match it. And also give you the EP’s (easy pays) that were offered with it. I’ve called several times, even 2 days after the TSV, and CS has honored the price. But HSN won’t do that. After midnight comes in ET, that is it.
JULIEJULIE – THANKS. BUT I CALLED THEM & THIS IS SOMETHING NEW (ON THE REGULAR CHANNEL.) PPL IN CALIF COMPLAINED THAT BECAUSE OF THE TIME DIFFERENCE, THEY HAD TO SHOP EARLIER FOR TSV’S. Q REP SAID THE NEW POLICY IS THAT THE TSV’S WILL OVERLAP ON THE TIME THEY ARE AVAILABLE. SOUNDS REALLY GREAT & I HOPE HSN FOLLOWS. THE Q TSV WILL END AT 11:59 PM PACIFIC TIME (1:59 AM CENTRAL – 2:59 EASTERN). BUT THE NEW TSV WILL STILL START AT 11:00 CENTRAL (MIDNITE EASTERN). HOPE THIS ISNT TOO CONFUSING. I HAD TO REPEAT IT 3 TIMES TIL I GOT IT!! (HOPE I GOT IT ALL RIGHT!) IN OTHER WORDS, THOSE OF US NOT IN PACIFIC TIME WILL HAVE LONGER TO ORDER THE PRIOR DAY’S TSV & YET BE ABLE TO ORDER THE CURRENT ONE.
I actually had an experience with this. For a while now we have had a second qvc channel, they call it QVC plus, they claim it has extra content etc. (probably just more little peeks at upcoming products) I haven’t really noticed.
What I have noticed is that that above the item number it says previously recorded ….
That being said, I did after midnight once order the previous day’s TSV online. It did not give me the discounted price that was airing so I had to call the phone number and ask them to change the price in my account, which they did, no problem. I noticed a few days ago when I was flipping through the channels, that they were explaining what the channel was and stressing the different phone number. So based on that, I would say you do have extra time to order the TSV.
