Please stop asking for testimonials
HSN needs to stop asking us to call. They constantly cut them off. I’m not saying to give them all day but let them finish have their say. I was watching Melinda with Skip this morning & she rudly cut off the customer as she was talking. They do that a lot with Jay King. It’s embarrassing. Between cutting them off & Diane talking instead of listening they don’t have much time at all.
Yes Folks !! when i speak as a CALL IN I personally try NOT To talk very long as others our waiting on the phone line too speak also.. there time is limited.. an also they move on to different items…as the Hosts have People Speaking in there EAR.. !!! But the gifts for Calling in Our Great Gifts !! So CONGRATULATIONS TOO ALL OF YOU !! an ENJOY !! i have spoke with so many Celebrities over the YEARS.. an i truly enjoyed.. an no regrets..
I don’t like the testimonials either. I agree with Skittles that all the voices sound alike. I rather read customer’s reviews to help me decide if I want to buy an item.
I think people call in just to hear themselves. I remember one caller kept calling Absolute CZ "Diamonique," and finally, she was cut off. Customers also need to know the product they are buying. How can you call HSN and gush about an product sold at the "Q."
Another time, Ms. Somers was selling her famous jewelry box, and a caller told her that it broke after she had it a week. Then Suzanne told her to send it back, and the caller said that she did, but the second jewelry box was broken, then HSN immediately cut her off. I remember Colleen had to really control her grin.
If HSN is going to continue with testimonials, I don’t think the caller should be allowed to ask questions on the air. That’s what usually starts a long-winded conversation.
#1 Most all of the voices that call in sound the same. :womansurprised: :womanlol:
#2 If you do not want to be considered to call in, all you have to do is flunk the test.
I flunked the test. I did not like any of the products that HSN was interested in having as a call in shopper.
However, if I had been asked about products I like, I would have called in with a testimonial.
I enjoy the call-ins and have called in on a VW show a few years ago. Sometimes, it’s hilarious, when the caller can’t hear the host, or when the caller rambles and you hear the "buh, bye…bye..buh, bye…reminds me of the old David Spade SNL skit as a flight attendant. LOL!
I usually find that the testimonals are very interesting …. So I agree.
Stop begging for testimonials because the callers are sometimes treated Rudely or they are Rushed off of the line after 5 seconds, or in the middle of speaking!
I don’t undersand Why the callers are Rushed off the line, only to have the host start back wth that Same fake garbage thet they have said over and over. …. Who is the worst (or best) at this? – yep, Shannon.
Sure, it is always a risk that the callers might say the ‘Wrong’ thing or ask the ‘Wrong’ question. ….. Stiil, Give Them Proper Time, or none at all.
Although I don’t watch HSN that much, the testimonals are my least favorite part. Some people just rabbit on about nothing. If it is related to the product then I guess it is OK. You are either going to like them, or you aren’t.
I called in to give a testimonial today and got to speak about the Origami Kitchen Cart which I am crazy about. I was speaking with Bill Green and guess what? I won another Kitchen Cart! Thank you HSN!
THEY ASK US TO CALL & WHEN I DO, THEY RARELY PUT ME THRU, EVEN THO I HAVE A GLOWING TESTIMONIAL. STOP ASKING, HSN!
Sometimes a very bad review slips past the call screener too.
I’m the oddball, I guess. I cringe when they have customers call in. I generally change channels. They just use the testimonials to fill time. They go on and on and say things that are sometimes embarrassing. I think listening to them is torture. They don’t really offer anything more. I’d rather just get the product facts and then look online for product reviews.
Do any of you know the CALL Ins also get Prizes for calling in an giving a TESTIMONIAL !! when WolfGang was just on someone called in an WON 2 of the Frying Pans !! also someone called in on the Jewelry show an won a Necklace !! Someone called in when Skip an his mother were on an Won Lotion !! i love the Call ins.. my/self.. an i personally have called in an SPOKE on Line with so many celebrities.. an So Many of the HOSTS !! so folks you just never know IT COULD BE YOU as A Call In Winner.. ENJOY an Thanks
yes PLEASE keep on with the Call ins.. i learn so much, about the items from the people calling in.. a lot of times they will ASK for people too call in as that is when the PHONE LINES OPEN / UP.. an THANKS..
Oh my gosh! i know it! let them talk! there’s things we miss out on that maybe we should know! so annoying.
I do have to say I have seen that so many times. Now, I do agree that the hosts can’t have the caller to continue to talk & talk as there are other callers & the host & vendor do need to keep presenting the product but I have seen them talk over the customer, be abrupt & totally cut them off. On the other shopping channel they listen, however they do use the skills needed that you are trained in customer service on how to end the calls. They are gracious, listen & then they politely let the customer know they appreciate their call, hope they enjoy the product but they need to end the call to continue to take more calls & it is done in a kind way. Much more professional & lets the customer feel appreciated & valued thus bringing more revenue to the vendor as people will buy more product if they hear a lot of great testimonials on a product.
I agree that many customer calls are cut short. But sometimes they go on and on and on and do not say much about the product. I so like to hear about customers experiences with a product especially if there is not many revews yet.
Diane Gilman just needs to let everybody talk more period. She is the worst offender for talking over people whether hosts or customers.
