Please HSN, can the Rewards Store be changed up a little?
The One page Rewards Store needs to change it up a bit every now and again… enough of the Paper crafts and Goat Milk already! I’m sure they are great products and Vendors but your audience is diverse and not just card makers with dry skin issues! How about offering a chance to win a Discount Coupon or perhaps Free Shipping or maybe a Gardening item, or flip flops for summer, or a scarf, or Cleaning cloths for house/car…. baby steps!!! You can do it! I know you can!

I agree with you. Electronics would be nice, too, as prizes.
Nice post you wrote–made good points, and gave me a laugh,
as well! 🙂 Hope they listen to you. JollyJelly-
Thanks for responding FBN135 and JollyJelly!! I have visions of the exec’s sitting around a table thinking that the older demographic they wish to tap into, are ‘old women’ with nothing to do but scrapbooking and sitting around in a ‘sewing circle’ making quilts! Hobbies are great – don’t get me wrong. Us older women have SO much more going on though !!! We are vital, have vigor, and we are wise and intelligent!! Hey HSN, how about that suggestion on electronics – us older folk do know how to use electronic devices! Go figure! I have to go now to split some logs to stoke the fire for my stove but I’ll have to do that once I finish darning my husbands’ socks – and oh yes, tonight I’ll be sure to rub down in goats milk! It’s that or Bacon grease for those elbows!

They should use you as a consultant, Blu-eyes2. Sounds
like you have a lot of smart ideas you could give to
whoever’s in charge of this place. I’d think it’d be
really helpful to listen to smart customers if you have a
business……at least, if you want to stay in business & thrive! 🙂 JollyJelly -
Thank you for the kind words Jollyjelly! If they were to contact me for my feedback and ideas, I would welcome it if it would help bring on some positive change. But… as with any business, they have to be open to feedback. Sometimes businesses get so involved in running operations that they forget the very basics – First and foremost, that the customer IS your business. Without the customer, you might as well hang up your hat. As companies grow, they feel that their success is largely part of their ongoing business model but the model too, has to change with market trends, demographics, and marketing strategy to ensure their customers needs and wants are met. A win-win for all. But…they have to listen first…

I absolutely agree with you, Blue-eyes2. Someone in
charge DOES need to be open-minded to listen to good
suggestions and actually consider using them to keep
and attract more customers. Here’s hoping that
someone like that reads this discussion and gets
moving on the Rewards issue–and other things they
might improve upon. You sound like someone who’s actually been
successful in business, yourself…….I say this because
you sound like my grandfather, who was successful
with small grocery stores years ago, until his health
got him. I learned a lot from wisdom he passed on
to my mom, about business and other things. JollyJelly -
I applaud you JollyJelly! I was touched to hear that you listened to your grandfather and absorbed his wisdom! I always thought it to be a shame that many folks don’t take the time to ‘listen’ to our older generation. They do have many stories to tell as they endured many hardships in their time and found ways to recover. Nowadays, many folks finding their way, just give up when the tough gets going!
…and yes, I was in business for quite a few years… The basics never change. First and foremost, know your demographic and LISTEN…
I wish you and your family well!

But I am not holding my breath

Would like some more variety in prizes too.Gift cards, free ship,or discounts would be nice.
-
<em>Yes, please make some changes to the Rewards Store items. The number of tickets I have earned is growing, instead of diminishing, due to the fact that there is rarely anything in the rewards to merit spending my earned tickets on.
Thank your for considering your customers.

I love the idea of adding options such as free shipping and discounts to the rewards store. Also, just one page of prizes is horrendous/stingy.

Ever since the company that owns QVC took over HSN, HSN has been going down hill.
I don’t want another QVC!
