There’s Oscar and his we now know is his sister. Now that she isn’t half buried in snow we can get a better look at her face and Rorschact really doesn’t suit her.Maybe Emmy?
The police gave our stuff back, they photographed it all before,my hubby had to get the receipts for the materials that he used to build his good guitar so the penalty this guy faces goes up.On a happy note we got another of the kittens in the shop where it’s nice and warm,it’s black with a splotchy white pattern on it’s face like a reverse ink blot test,we are calling it Rorschact.
Oscar isn’t a very good guard kitty, someone got in my hubbys shop this weekend. We reported the missing stuff to the police Sunday,Monday I was on the phone with the insurance people, the phone rang about an hour later it was the police and they had the guy and all our stuff.I called the insurance people later. That had to be some sort of record for solving a burglary! It was a guy just a few houses away, the cops said he just had stuff piled up on his living room floor,he’d hit quite a few homes around here.
Honestly I don’t know if these little guys are our missing kittens or not.my husband swears one of them is Patches but I haven’t seen that one.The kittens are all still spooky except a little all black one who decided we were ok after we shared a little hot chicken with him.My husband lets the black one stay in his shop and has named him Oscar.
It’s not getting above freezing until next Monday, and then just barely. The kitty houses are a big hit,if they aren’t out eating or pooping the cats stay in them.My husband found a good sized cardboard box, lined it with styrofoam and filled it with straw, then put it in the shed back from the door away from the wind and snow. The cats would have me feeding them in their houses if they had their way I think, but we set them away abit so raccoons don’t try to move in.
Here’s a real mystery,Last year we had alot of cats just vanish.Three nights ago I noticed several kittens about Magics age (about a year),had moved into the shed where one of the moma cats had her kittens, they look alot like that litter. My husband swears one of them is Patches! They are real skittish like they haven’t been around people.
It’s really hard to play the arcade games when your cat sits on your computer mouse like he’s trying to hatch it.
Friday it was over 70 and we had all the windows open, yesterday it started to snow. It’s lucky my hubby made the shelters for the outside cats because they are stuffing themselves in the boxes with their buddies.I went to put out the birdseed and peanuts as usual this morning and the birds didn’t even give me a chance to turn around and head for the door before they swooped down. I felt like Tippi Hedren.
On Nov. 13th..the “girls” will have been with us 1 year.
Things have come a long way..still a lot of issues..but it is alot better..
Miss Pati doesn’t attack me quite as often..(my ankles aren’t bleeding everyday!)
She comes down to the kitchen for treats if Miss Aura isn’t around.. She always goes back to her “safe place”..her room..She has everything in there (all her necessities and treats and plenty of toys)..We spend a lot of time in “her room/our office”.She climbs on my husband’s lap when he is in here..
She eats her meals in her room( which I bring her on a crystal tray!)…I stay and talk to her..We don’t want her eating in a stressful situation..this way she keeps her food in her stomach!
Although Miss Pati and Miss Aura have their hissing and chasing fits with each other..We haven’t had any more smashing of antique lamps..:smileyhappy:
Miss Pati still has a problem with ANY woman..:catfrustrated:
Saturday we had another stranger man(the cable guy) upstairs near “her room”. She wandered out of her room walked around him..rubbing her face on his jeans…She has done that other times with other repair-MEN..
Miss Aura is a sweetheart to everyone..except to Miss Pati..
We have come a long way..still lots to go..:catwink:
As for Mr. Tiger..he has the attitude..”whatever!”
Looking forward to more improvements..
It was down in the 30s when I got up so I guess the timing on getting the outside guys shelters was perfect. The old guy was still doing his happy dance today,he is now a proud homeowner.
During the summer an old one eyed battle scar covered tom showed up and stayed a few weeks. He wasn’t around for awhile .I thought he just moved on.The cat came back a few weeks ago. This old guy is skittish and very vocal(he sounds like Donald Duck). My husband saw a video where they put one of those cheap styrfoam coolers inside a plastic storage tote cut doors on them ,filled them with straw popped the lids on and there you go instant cat house. This morning I came out to feed the fur people and heard a sweet muffled trill.I looked under the deck where my hubby put one of the houses and saw the door was packed with straw after a second or so the old guy crawled out. That old cat was trilling and rubbing all over my legs and let me pet him,I’ve never seen a happier cat.
My fur baby is a dilute calico! She thinks she runs everything in the house (including my bed). I talk to her and she talks to me. We have this understanding you know! LOL.
I received her when she was lil kittie in 2008. She was my mom’s fur baby first. When my mom died, I took her because my sis had already had a cat and didn’t want another. There was no one else who could take her. She has been a constant comforter for me (except when she wants to sleep on my side of the bed). LOL.
Our cat is a big orange tabby. He’s a real predator, so with mixed reviews about it tipping over, I almost canceled it. I’m glad I didn’t. Even with his nails, the batting hasn’t hurt the butterflies (yet lol). And I put in on the corner of a marble coffee table. It’s more stable there, and he likes reaching up. It’s a great toy.
The Whirling Wiggler looks nice but we have a cat army here with big kitties,I don’t think it would survive long.If I had just one or two regular sized cats they probably would love it.The most popular toys with our guys are the rings off the tops of milk cartons.
