Wow I’m surprised at all the negativity of Facebook, I guess I enjoy chatting with long list friends from back home. Being deaf, it’s out world of communication with out cochlear implants. It’s also put mentoring people who have are looking into getting an implant and/or wanting to go for a second one. I’m bilateral meaning I have 2 cochlear implants. We hear through auditory nerve into the brain rather than how you nice hearing people can call in on the show. I’m excited to be talking to Adam live, because I never had the opportunity to speak with him & in July Andrea too!!! Good Luck to you all.. Only downfall is switching back and forth but I think I’ll use my phone fire Facebook and tablet on to buying options and games!!
Andrea in Boca.
I have my settings at privacy! No one can read my facebook profile, it’s set with only people I know and over 300 deaf adults, along with parents of deaf children wanting to know how we hear with implants, what they should expect. I also sell on marketplace, only in my community. Guess what, nothing will change, Adam will be on TV as always, but me, I’d !like to phone in sometimes and I cant, it will prevent them from helping or taking other calls, it takes time via captioning phones, and noisy backgrounds don’t help!
You can still phone in, and watch. The majority of Facebook users usuAlly does down after 30 min to an hour maybe, it’s also helped out by other HSN Facebook employees. Even if you don’t use FB, nothing much will change!
If you Google Top 10 Disturbing Facts About Facebook You will see why everyone is getting away from there. If you value your privacy and your independence you will use something else.
