Moles anyone?????~~~ Seriously!
I talking the rodent !..Anyone know how to get rid of one?
I have young one is in my house!..My kitties won’t go near it..At first we thougth it was a mouse..it’s not!
I’m scared to death.. my honey thinks it’s pretty funny..Except when I let out a blood curdling scream or stomp through the rooms like an elephant!
I have had those plug in things HSN sells in every room..Some places even 2 in a space!..They don’t work for country mice either..
Between the snow and now this "critter"..This N.Y. city girl that moved to the country is ready to go back to the city!
I feel like Lisa Douglas on Green Acres !!!!!!!!!!!!!!..My niece has been called me since we moved here..
Any serious constructive advice, anyone??
This should not be a surprise since we were supposed to play this before EB.
You know, they sell these bags of smelling stuff – actually nicely smelling, like pine smell, whatever they are called – on Amazon against mice. Maybe they work against moles too?
I really don’t know if this will help you, but it has worked in the past for me, although it was outside. Moles don’t care for sound waves…Let me explain, I placed a radio/recorder along with a small metal pole,(kind of like a tent spike) hammered into the ground and connected a copper wire to both the recorder playing music and the pole…then I played high pitch to low and found the bass sounds worked the best. If you have a solid floor where this little dud is hanging out, try some bass music, minus any poles…the sound travels and they don’t care for the vibes!!:smileywink:
Hahahaha…I guess you have a point!!! 4kitties Mole seems to have almost packed its bags to leave. My Golphers are partying it up in the underground crib.
In laws are bigger and take more reasoning to scoot out the door…lol
Moles? Huh. It could be worse. How about in-laws that come to visit and never leave. At least the moles won’t make you feel guilty when you get rid of them…Ronnie…??
Hahaha…I’m still laughing. Those tracks leading ‘away’ from the house? It’s just "Cousin IT" high tailing it to the mailbox, hoping to hitch a ride to someplace warmer! Trust me…if he isn’t picked up soon…and in my best Arnold Swarzeneger voice…"HE’LL BE BACK"!!
Oh…and my mole holes are indeed…GOLPHER HOLES! Cousin ‘IT’ has surely sent his whole family of first cousins over here…so TYVM ‘IT’. I called the HOA and they’re supposed to get the exterminater out here. Ugh…I don’t even want to be around when they exterminate the ‘family’.
All in all though, 4kitties…you are one lucky bride that you have a Honey to do the …’back forty’…lol. Seriously…the Estate gives new meaning to…’Honey Do’ list…lol
Btw…I’ve named the scampering squirrel who runs across my backyard to get to ‘who knows where’… Harvey!!! So perhaps you and I are distant relatives also?????
Will let you know how the Golpher situation is. Just keep a sharp eye out for the return of ‘Cousin IT’…and keep me posted…
How ’bout this one?
I HAVE A DANG MOLE HOLE IN MY FRONT YARD!!!! NO FLIPP’N LIE!!!!
I have desert landscape in my front yard and have been seeing that the gravel has been kicked up near my front patio. I could swear it was one of the neighbor’s outdoor cats so never really paid attention.
Wellllllllllllllllllllll….today I walked my puppy around the complex and when I passed in front of my home..saw two large holes in the gravel and dirt about 20 feet from the kicked up gravel.
i have MOLES!!!
COUSIN "IT" HAS LEFT YOUR BUILDING AND IS NOW OCCUPYING MINE!!!
He’s probably sunning himself thinking…"revenge is soooooo sweet" OMG…how do I get rid of this thing. Maybe I should call the landscape committee…lolol
Awwww…heck NO! -31 degrees????? Even a "Cousin IT" knows better than to leave. "IT" knows better than to bite the hand that is literally feeding it too….hahahaha…"FEEDING ‘IT’."..lol
"IT" probably thinks it’s vacationing on a tropical island about now. It’s even too cold for the thing to dig a burrow in the yard!!! Maybe it will hit the gym for some CARDIO?????
Let’s just hope it’s too scared to move wih Kitty #1 watching out for the critter.
Oh, 4kitties please be safe!:catlol:
Eww, I’d be terrified.
I have a plug in and it’s called Pest Offense from Walmart, have you tried that. I don’t have any pests so it seems to be working. It’s supposed to work for rats (never had one thank the good Lord) so maybe it would get rid of a mole. Failing that I’d be calling a pest control service.
Sorry about your fur baby. That’s heartbreaking.
I did get the Bell and Howell plugin pest repellents. No further rodents and no spiders in the bathroom. I still had to spray because I suddenly found a bug in the kitchen right where the plugins were on the counter. I had to spray twice around the area and it worked. But I don’t think that the plugins are effective really since I got bugs when I stopped spraying. Maybe its helping in the bathroom but not worth it because it fails to do what it claims. I leave them in every room since I can’t return them but learned that I still have to use toxic spray so technically I could have saved 40 dollars. Besides a tablet that sits in my closet because the charger broke 2 times these were not as advertised.
I had a rat chew through the bottom of my house and created a tiny opening under the kitchen cabinet. It came out of hiding in the light one evening and one of my dogs lunged at it. I refused to kill it or use poison because of the danger to my dogs and humane reasons. I got traps that look like metal cages. Set some peanut butter in them and it got trapped. It went crazy and I could not even tolerate the struggling. It was really scared. My friend who loaned me the traps came over and took the rat in the cage and released it in a huge field. I blocked the hole after I found it with towels. More rats just shredded them but they didn’t manage to come in. The hole got professionally sealed and end of story.
Wow Snickersmom…I am so sorry for your loss. I know that I would die if anything happened to my cat. She said her kitties wouldn’t go near the mole, so thought it safe to suggest the house thing.
The critter I had was outside, and I remember being scared my dogs would eat the poison if I had bought the kind you sprinkle around, so thought it safer to do what I did. I just never thought about a cat eating a dead or poisoned mouse…but will now.
Again..I am so sorry this happened to you.
