Match pricing – HSN Members tell me if this makes any since
I purchased a DG2 jacket item number 468-884 on( 4) 12.48 flex pay for total the of 49.94 . The next day it came on sale at 9.95. The difference of the price I paid and the price on sale was 40.00. So help me to understand, lets do the math____ Price: 49.95 Paid 12.48 (first flex payment) _____________ Balance on origl bal 37.47 Difference on Match price 40.00 (49.94 minus first flex 12.48) Leaving a credit of 2.53 credit back to me and call the jacket paid in full. Now lets do the math HSN has: Price: 49.95 Paid: 12.48 ______________ Balance Due: 37.47 HSN will not credit me back the amt due to me of 2.53 they want me EACH MONTH to pay the 12.48, then at that time they will refund me EACH MONTH 12.48. does this make any since that I have to continue 12.48 remaining payments, just so they can refund it every month?????? Can anyone explain if this makes any since. Why should you have to pay the flex pay each month for them to just refund it back. Why not just ded the difference and mark it paid in full? Needless to say, I am returning this item back to them for a full refund, I will get a full refund faster that I would paying it out each month to get a refund a week later. I am done! done! done! If they would just understand if they would mark it paid and just give me the diff of 2.53, it would clear out my monthly flex pay to purchase more, but to pay the flex pay to not get it credited a week later and to have to follow this each month to get a make sure it was refunded, is (I will keep it clean) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is likely due to system limitations. Sometimes, particularly when it comes to credit/debit card rules, there are limits on what they can do. Since you already agreed to the flex pays, this is likely the only way they can do this.
Perhaps if you went ahead and paid the remainign lfex pays, they could then give you the full credit. Perhaps you should ask that rather than spend your time complaining to others who have abolutely no control over the situation
Where s a CPA Accountant when you need one? HSN has interesting accounting for sure! I love flex pay and I hate flexpay! I haven’t tried this, but you can always pay a flexpay in full, or partial, or change payment method used. I wonder if you had paid this item in full and then requested a price reduction, what math HSN would use? I keep saying I won’t use flex pay, but it is so convenient-until it isn’t!
I just commented on that post..No it doesn’t make sense to keep paying for something thats already paid for just so you can be refunded..But apparently that must be the way they have to do it in the system.
If your size is in stock maybe just re order it for $9.95 plus shipping..Another option might be to just pay all the flex pays now and get the full refund..
My guess is they’re doing it that way because of accounting/system limitations.
