Marlawynne Clothing TAGS
Found you yesterday, Marlawynne and I like what I see and can’t wait to get my first order. ONE THING, though.
Those are some gigantic tags on the back of these garments! Since most of my clothing has the telltale vampire bite on the back, you can conclude that these tags feel like a splinter into my back. Tags didn’t bother me when I was younger and I think it is because of the nylon/plastic used to "sew" the tags in and whatever the tags themselves are made from. The plastic forms a sharp edge (is it melted?) and that forms the barb that goes into my neck. If not the edge from the plastic thread, it’s the tag. Some tags sound like (crispy) it’s made from Tyvek. Why put a thorn in the back of every garment? Why?
My mom removed a tag after she stopped laughing at the paper towel sticking out from the back of the shirt I was wearing to stop the constant rubbing. She uses a thread remover, some sewing instrument that requires some skill and alot of patience. I have brought over alot of garments for tag removal, but how about eliminating them, or the way they are attached? Since the latter will likely result in an increased time and materials charge, how about removing them altogether?
Please don’t relocate the tags, either. Old Navy or The Gap did this to disastrous results They put all of the tags together, 3 deep and long, on the side (hip). Guess what happened to all of my tanks? Giant holes on the side where I ripped these God forsaken tags off, or tried to. I need to bring all of them over to Mom for removal. We are talking over a dozen tanks alone. So much for an affordable white cotton/stretch ribbed tank that i wear under everything.
Alright for now. I hope Mom can remove those gigantic black tags on the back of the shirt that I ordered.
Love you – mean it.
this little kit contains a seam ripper which would safely remove any sewn or stitched item from another. it contains numerous other very useful items for basic clothing repair. and it is a fab price.
