Made in USA
HSN has a lot of great stuff Made In The USA. Tiana B dresses, last time Curations was here it was, Elysee… there must be more I don’t know about. I wish I could search for all made in USA products and maybe for items that are, you add a little US flag so we know without having ot read all the details for every item. Also, hosts and vendors should always let cutomers know during a presentation. I prefer to buy made in the USA, and I know I’m not alone.
Have a safe Labor Day!
I SUGGESTED THIS VERY THING ABOUT 10 YRS. AGO. LET’S HOPE IT GOES SOMEWHERE NOW. HITSVILLE & I CAN’T BE THE ONLY 2 WHO THINK LIKE THIS…..
Great idea, even Kitchen stuff, pots and pans ,slow cookers, mixers, etc.
BJSPICK: YEAH. I’M TIRED OF ALL THE FIRE HAZARDS I’VE HAD THAT WERE MADE OVERSEAS. A MIRACLE I DIDN’T BURN THE PLACE DOWN….
A product does not have to be manufactured in the USA in order wear a USA label.
A product can be manufactured in a Free Trade Zone and wear a label from one of several countries, including the USA.
The components or the manufacturing can take place in the USA, and it can wear a USA label.
I love this idea! We need to keep Americans working!
I’m glad others feel this way as well. As an example, when I shop at my local ACE Hardware, all made in USA products have a flag on the price tag… so it’s a no brainer for me when choosing between several similar items which one I want. My local bike shop sells bikes and products from all over the world, but they prominently feature made in USA as well as locally made items. I just bought hubby a water bottle holder… there was a made in China for $12 or a locally made one for $19.. . I paid more for the local. And Elysee products are some of the best skin care period IMO, and I really appreciate they’re a family business made in USA.
HSN… what do you say?? I’d love a general tab of made in USA and then I can select the categories I want like home, kitchen, beauty, etc.
Thank you!! :smileyhappy:
I hope HSN will see this that consumers want to keep Americans employed. Unfortunately with with Trade Agreements and incentatives for American companies to be paid to set up shop in China and other countries its not so simple to bring back factories. Elections and politics have consequences 🙁 One party isn’t superior over another, they both have let us down. Then there is the FTZ and label trickery that another poster had brought up and explained so well.
I wish products like electrics were USA made and repairable. However they are made to last a year or two and then added to land fills. When I was a kid TVs, radios, cameras were repairable and you could afford to repair them. The repair shops Dad would go to were run by a veteran. Then there entered planned obsolescence where they couldn’t be repaired or was cheaper to buy new. Now we have people out of work and land fills full of junk 🙁 sorry to digress
I, too am tired of the china plastic junk merchandise that is being sold in record numbers. The USA for many, many, many years made quality products that didnt fail or fall apart as items do these days. Vendors are opting to use outside of the USA because of the cost of production. I, myself would rather pay that extra amount to keep production in this country. Same goes for jobs for customer service that now outsources to India, Phillipines that barely speak the English language and does not know the policies of the company. Another issue is the safety of products being created overseas with lead or hazard ingredients because other countries do not have inspections or regulations of products. Since the 1980’s of de-regulation and inspection of imports, other countries can send products with such hazardous material in products we are not aware of. I would LOVE to see the "made in USA" on every product on the market!!
