Joy’s Mop at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond
I am more that a little ticked at HSN. I bought 3 of Joys mops and 1 bucket and one replacement head. THEN last Sunday what is Target selling? Joy’s mop for the same price. I could have gotten 5% off at Target. THEN yesterday comes the Bed Bath and Beyond circular in the mail and what are they selling? Joy’s mop, bucket, etc. With all of my 20% off coupons I could have saved the price of 1 mop and more. I feel cheated. I will wait next time before the next lastest and greatest comes out. You can be sure had they said in another week I could buy the same thing at Target or Bed Bath and Beyond I would have!! Not happy!!
I made a slight blip…where I stated "another feature I HATE" …. is the mop itself… I actually meant the *MOP HEAD. LOL. Guess I got all myself all riled up! ??
I agree with you 100% GS! On all counts! I hate Joy’s mop and feel like hitting myself with it for purchasing PLUS ordering an additional mop head at the same time.?? I too was watching Shannon and Joy’s airing of it and I just got sucked in. That mop IS heavy. It DOES scratch the floor I find, if you don’t position the mop "just so." Yes, in addition, I too find the mop generally heavy, clumsy and awkward to fully "twist" or "wring out" the water. Another feature I HATE: For some crazy reason I hadn’t noticed while on air, is the mop itself; while large, is STILL NOT LARGE ENOUGH for this clumsy heavy mop!! Good Lord, Joy should be ashamed of herself. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate the woman, I just wish she would have at least thought this one through. I think shes become too focused on "her" as opposed to "us" the people, who made her who she us today: RICH.
I don’t know why you would even want it for so much less at so many other stores plus saving on the shipping and handling that HSN charges because it really is the worst mop around. It is so heavy, scratches up the floors, hurts to hold such a wide handle, is difficult to wring out and takes over a week to dry. I think it’s going to be on clearance soon everywhere except on HSN where they will still charge the most with shipping and handling charges for this terrible mop.
Joy can sell Ice to a Eskimo, even the hangers snap and break. I like the dish sets but they sell them at different stores anyway.
LOL! Joy, making the most of her ‘made in china’ junk!
I see your point, CWSJ
A big hoopla was held at hsn about thar ts (special). There was dancing and prancing and customers were told and led to believe that they were being offered special pricing and a special one -time opportunity to purchase the merchandise. – There were record breaking sales and a couple of days later, we hear that the merchandise is in local stores at the same price. …. Certainly ‘they’ were aware when it was presented as ‘special’.
AS I SAID ELSEWHERE, AT LEAST YOU CAN RETURN FOR REFUND W/HSN. SEE ALL THE LOUSY REVIEWS ON THE MOP.
There are many times when we purchase an item from a store and the following week that item is on sale. This is not the stores fault I have no problem that the mop is being sold elsewhere. I have to admit that Shannon does go overboard insinuating that the mop may become a collectors item, really LOL. I was in Bed Bath and Beyond today and I did see quite a few pieces from the Q being sold there. However, I did not see Joy’s mop LOL. I am happy that it will be sold locally because I did not purchase a replacement mop head.
That happens in shopping, it is not HSN fault . Last week I bought a gallon milk at Krogers and then the next day in Walmarts could have paid 30 cents less for a gallon .
Not Krogers fault it is just the way it is..
